The location was amazing.
I booked my room over a month in advance and my harbor view was blocked by a giant bush. My room wasn’t ready until after 4pm. The hotel does not have AC. I had to request a new fan because the one in the room didn’t work.

We were overlooking San Carlos Bay
We were served a continental breakfast to our room every morning, so we sat on the balcony with our food and Bibles to complete the gorgeous views and inspiration for each day ❤️

Good location and helpful staff. Unfortunately, these were the main positives of our stay.
The hotel feels old and quite dated. There is parking under the building, but the spaces are tight. Although it is covered, the parking area is open and unsecured, so anyone from the street can access it.
The room was small, the furniture was worn, and overall the interior did not feel very inviting.
For the price, I definitely do not think it offers good value. I assume the location is the main reason why such average, or even rather poor, hotels can charge these prices in Monterey. It is a small town, yet hotel prices can be similar to, or even higher than, those in Los Angeles or San Francisco.
The breakfast was honestly a joke.
