I have nothing negative to say. It was a wonderful experience all around. Every single employee went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Genuinely friendly folks, wine and cheese, the cookies and milk, breakfast: All the food was excellent. We could literally walk out our door and be at the City market, carriage rides and anything else we needed. One block away was target for the last-minute things you forgot. Perfect experience. Bravo- we will be back.

Location was very good. we could reach all the major destinations on foot. The breakfast (7-10 AM) was very helpful too since most places seemed closed until 10 AM. The main floor staff were super attentive and kind. The room was good but nothing amazing. The bathroom was nicely renovated and the shower was very nice with a good water pressure. Very clean. The water in Charleston was really good. Anyone wanting to have a spa experience should come to a place like this where the water itself is super soft. My skin glowed (It could have glowed more if I were 20 yrs younger) The desk by the window (facing the gallery, so no view) was helpful of course. The tea table (?) with two chairs were nice but since it is located right in front of the bathroom, we did not get to sit there often. Overall, nice enough.
The room was DAMP as if we were in Venice. The sea is close by, so maybe it could be the reason? I brought a few pairs of cotton slippers from home and they became damp quickly. A few spots on the carpet were really really damp, but probably the same was true in all other, much fancier hotels. It was not a problem of ventilation. Due to the heat we came back to the hotel for a siesta and some days we came home at around 7 PM, after early dinner. We hoped to have Netflix or something to see a movie before going to bed.
