The location was great! The area around was easy to walk and we felt safe. The beds were super comfy.
The stairs. We knew ahead of time so it wasn't an issue but being on the fourth floor after a long day of walking the city made for a tough walk up the stairs. Overall though, not a concern!

We stayed at Lokal Hotel Old City, a loft-style hotel that somehow makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a local who just happens to have excellent taste in neighborhoods. Also apparently the kind of place where people accidentally leave their trousers in the dryer for the next guest. Which honestly tracks with Philly’s energy. Because the people here are absurdly kind. The type to hand you their umbrella in the rain without hesitation. BTW, we left the umbrella in the room along with the rain jacket and those trousers for the next guest😉

Room was great. Very nicely decorated and very comfortable beds. Huge space.
Extremely steep steps, no elevator. No one on site. Door code didn’t work and we got dumped on with rain talking to offsite staff to get in with code to a hard key. Shower set up was ridiculously complicated and took 10 minutes of screwing around just to get desired water temp.
