The hotel was easy to find, maybe 20 minute walk from the railway station. The host (Arthur) was so friendly, we arrived early and (if our room wasn't ready) we asked if we could leave our luggage with him while we went into the city. Although it was morning, our room was ready so we were able to unpack and head off into York. The room was lovely, thoughtfully decorated and very clean. The wi-fi worked great. Arthur suggested a couple of routes to walk into the city and he was very welcoming.
I can honestly say there was nothing about my stay that I didn't like.

Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Parking on-site. A pleasant walk along the river to the city centre. Great value for money!
Nothing!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was great — I walked back from the train station and city centre almost every day, and the walk itself was beautiful and enjoyable. The room was very clean, with plenty of hot water. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the other guests I met were also very nice. The hospitality really made me feel at home. It was a much better experience than I expected.

Breakfast was okay - average.
Location was okay - A bit of a walk to the town. Next to a busy road so lack of sleep at night time.
Noise of the traffic. Very busy road. Only had a couple of hours sleep.
