Next time we’ll arrive early enough to prepare the fresh lamb, and enjoy the northern lights by jacuzzi.

The cabin itself was beautiful, in a great location for seeing dark skies. We didn’t use the hot tub or sauna bc we arrived so late. Would have been fun.

I mean, it’s out in the countryside on a farm, so we get that there are bugs. We had cluster flies (house flies) crawling on us in the night, so that was unpleasant.

Very good

Double room is spacious enough. Clean and tidy. Good location. Good view on breakfast.

Triple room is a little crowded for the luggage. Not enough hanger or hook in the room for clothes hanging.

Best views, best deal!

The view of the surrounding mountains, and the glacier was amazing! Very romantic, quiet place. The staff was very helpful.

A cozy hotel with natural warm pools and great breakfast

We only stayed one night, though it was one of the best stays of our trip. We had a room with an en-suite bathroom, which was very big and had a huge shower (something with excellent value for money in Iceland). Plus the room was also very big and nice. The facility is charming, with a hall facing a farm through a big glass window and a warm staff. The breakfast buffet is very rich and tasty. On top, we used the natural pools in the morning, which are free for customers and definitely worth it.

You may want to consider having dinner on the road, or at the hostel, since there is no much around the area.

Safety first

A really nice location, a bit isolated but not far from Hofn. The free access to the hot tub nearby is a real plus and there is a large choice for the breakfast. (The fire alarm works really well, I can assure you. Surprising but a nice memory of my trip)

Nice rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was ok.

We went to this accommodation because of their hot pots. Unfortunately they did not work :-( i would appreciate an information about it, because then we won´t go here. Rooms were fine, but if you took a shower for too long, water went almost to beds - be careful :-) No TV programs on TV :-D

Good location and waffles but that is about it

The women who served breakfast was very nice and made the best waffles! Very accommodating. Close to Hoffell but not accessible with a regular car.

The room was horrible and not worth the price paid compared to other places in Iceland and in that area. The towels are falling apart. The shower handle was being held by tape. The floor in the shower was dirty. The rooms were poorly planned with no room for suitcase. The man who checked us in was rather abrupt. We also got kicked out of the common area while waiting to see the Northern lights. Isn't thAT part of what you sell? You have to call a cell to get access to the common and breakfast area, even during the day. No fresh towel service or room cleaning. The hot tubs are far from the hotel and not maintained. The website images are misleading. Will not return.

Very comfortable. Hot tubs are a little highlight!

Very nice hotel with great views at the glacier from the breakfast room. Breakfast quite good. Hostess very nice and helpful. Our hope was to use the hotel own hot tub nearby. As we arrived, there was some technical problem with it and we were very disappointed. But the hostess was going out of her way to get the problem solved as soon as possible and a let us know bit later let that we could use the hot tub. Watching a beautiful sunset from the hot tub after a long day of traveling was definitely a little luxurious highlight!

There was some noise (excavation??), even late at night, coming from the valley. A bit of a mood breaker since you'd expect it to be quiet so far from a city. But obviously the hotel can not do anything about it. Just note: hot tubs are a bit further away, we preferred to drive there to be more comfortable.

No facilities

There is no food or drinks at all in the evening at this hotel. Given that it is 20km++ from the nearest place you can get any resources this is really poor. The rooms are nice and big but there really are no other facilities and nothing else nearby. The young lad at the front desk must have a tough job given all the residents were baffled by the fact this is literally just a few rooms floating in the middle of nowhere. Needs to be renamed: glacier world really suggests more than what is here!!

Comfortable stay in a beautiful Guesthouse, surrounded by spectacular landscapes!

The view of the Glacier from the hotel is spectacular! The location of this Guesthouse is its biggest selling point; we thoroughly enjoyed looking out at the landscapes from our room and from the breakfast space, and enjoyed visiting the horses quietly grazing on the property. Our breakfasts were really good, our room was bright, clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the property was comfortable and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had a pleasant stay; highly recommend! :)

While being very modern and clean, the missing wall decor and little accents, and lack of extra comforts (like super soft beds and towels, hairdryer in room) made the space feel almost too minimalistic, and not as cozy as it could very potentially be.

Glacier world - nice views!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from the room and from the hotel was amazing! We even saw deers walking down the meadow - fantastic view, while drinking coffee from the nice breakfast in the hotel. Next to the hotel there are hot tubes which are awesome and free for the hotel's guests. And last but not least - location is good if you want to visit Diamond beach and the ice lagoon, then go back to road ring 1 and continue your journey in Iceland.

The bed was 2 single ones, brought one by another to form one double bed. It wasn't that conformable, because while sleeping and fall in between, bed was slipping away from one another. And just as recommendation, I know we are in Iceland, but a small minibar/fridge will be a good asset to the room - while we were there, it was 17-20 degrees Celsius outside.

Location is perfect - right next to the glacier. The view on the mountains was gorgeous, and the air was so fresh. The room was very clean and comfortable. We went to the thermal baths and had an amazing time. Saw a caribou herd on the way out right nearby! Breakfast was very tasty.

Could not reach the landlord for basic help. Hot spring could have been open but used Covid excuse to remain closed.
