Great hotel by the beach in San Juan

Great staff. Amazingly helpful. They were the highlight of my staff both at checkin and at the restaurant

No windows in the room which was odd for me but otherwise the room was spectacularly clean and comfortable

Jessica is awesome.

We can not say enough about Jessica! She is amazing! Always smiling, very helpful, knowledgeable, made us feel like home. Words can't explain how awesome she is.

My credit card got stolen twice. It happened when I booked this place and then once we checked in. We feel someone at this location is selling our information. Cause on our last day someone claiming to be from the tropica says we need to update and add another card or our reservation is going to be canceled. Even though it was already paid for. So not happy with that.

Extremely helpful staff, so kind, great location too

Everyone involved was amazing. I had just gotten off a cruise at 9 am and miscalculated the time for my afternoon check in and the staff there were so accommodating. They gave me a towel and chair for the beach within 5 min walk and were able to check me in early later on. I fully understand early check in isn’t always possible but this staff worked hard and everyone was amazing when I needed to check out at 3:30 am hours later to catch a flight. 5 stars all around. So polite and kind. Thank you so much from Richard W.

Stepped into a Instagram hotel

The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. They can store luggage pre-check in and post-check out. They provide free water, coffee, and tea in the common room which also has a computer should guests need internet access. The ambiance of the entire hotel was relaxing, inviting, and stress-free. As the hotel is one block from the beach, they also provide beach chairs and towels free of charge. The room, along with the rest of the hotel, is decorated beautifully. The room was well-lit, spacious, and very clean. I would stay here again in the future.

The front door of the hotel requires room card access. Before we checked in and after checked out (we needed to retrieve our stored luggage) it was difficult to capture the attention of the staff to open the door. We couldn't capture their attention by ringing the doorbell either. Regardless, the card access made us feel very safe.

I won’t be staying here again.

First of all lets make something clear, for all the money that we pay the pool is not a pool it’s a 4 feet cubic, it’s a kids pool not for adults and not even the kids wanted to get in. 2) The was dirty. 3) The headboard from our bed was dusty. 4) With all the money that the owners makes from us customers is for them to have a decent shower, the showers doesn’t have a sliding door so when you’re taking a shower there’s water all over the bathroom floor. 5) you’re constantly have to be asking for extra towels. 6)The beverages in the machine are all expired, I bought a sprite from the machine and it was flat and when I checked it had expired on December 2023 smh, the housekeeper bought one and it had expired too.. 7) The food is so EXPENSIVE. 8) They don’t serve breakfast on Monday’s and Tuesday’s. 8) No windows views…

Welcoming staff, great location and super staff!

The staff are wonderful! I’ve never had such friendly service! The welcome drink was delicious. The rooms are updated and spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfy.

The building itself is a bit challenging to navigate and I would have enjoyed a window with some sort of view. The restaurant is very expensive.

Nice hotel with excellent staff but I found the website misleading. This is not a beach hotel

There was no breakfast served Monday or Tuesday (the 2 days we were there). I think this should have been advertised or I should have been told when booking. Also the Trópica Beach hotel is not on the beach. This was very misleading. While chairs and towels are available, you have to walk 1/2 km to get to the beach.

relaxing. enjoyable.

So close to the beach. Less than a two minute casual walk. Beach sounds greeted us each morning. Clean room and friendly staff. Close to many restaurants and right in the middle of a relatively quiet neighbourhood. Parking on the street is easy to find offseason.

There really wasn't much they could improve upon. The staff was exceptional and friendly. They gave us chairs to sit on the beach. Directions to various beaches. I was disappointed that they weren't directly on the beach at first but quickly overcame that once I got used to the room and realised that the beach was within walking distance (less than a two minutes). No elevator. But I don't really like elevators so no big deal for me. If it's a big deal you can ask for a room on the first floor.

Wonderful long weekend stay with a great friendly staff, nice location and super clean.

I booked two rooms due to a family member getting married and the hotel was not a huge hotel which I liked. It was a small hotel, super clean and having a restaurant right next door was great. We were not right on the beach but it was a short walk up the block. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I am grateful to Jessica and appreciated her help and wonderful personality. We chatted a few times and she gave me great suggestions of where to eat nearby. When I needed assistance with an issue with the shower she was quick to contact maintenance to check the problem. Her friendly demeanor and smile was very welcoming. She made the stay much more pleasant and would definitely go back again.

What I didn’t care for was that during the week there is not someone at the front desk 24/7 like I’m typically used to. However, they did provide a phone number just in case you did need someone. Luckily, I did not need to contact anyone the one night that someone was not there after midnight.

Exactly what looking for last night in Puerto Rico, close to the airport for very early departure.

Hotel was well maintained with cute amenities. Staff were exceptional. Onsite Restaurant (no affiliated with hotel) was exceptional.

Location was not safest; would not suggest eating outside hotel property.

If I ever go back to Puerto Rico, Im staying here again!

I loved everything about this stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean and every person who works in the hotel is fantastic. The restaurant on site (it is not the hotel, it is a separate entity, even tho it is physically part of the hotel) has wonderful food and cocktails and the bartenders are really nice. A couple of things to note: You can park in the parking lot without using valet. You just have to be let in and it is right around the corner. We just used the valet. The beach is about 2 blocks away. The hotel will give you a beach chair and towel in the lobby that you can use at the beach. The beach is big and lovely. Free coffee starting at 6:00 AM (yay!), snacks in a machine and flavored water in the lobby. Lots of cute spaces to relax or work (I was working remotely on this trip) and wifi speeds were great. There was some noise in the evening but I always travel with earbuds so it was manageable. The courtyard got a bit noisy at night but didn't bother me. As a solo female traveler, I appreciated the additional safety of the locked front doors! (you swipe your key to get in). Again, GREAT STAFF. 100%

Really pretty, updated hotel. Staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful. I loved walking to Kasaltas each morning for coffee and a pastry. I felt safe in the neighborhood. It was easy and inexpensive to get an Uber to drive us into Old San Juan. We also booked a rainforest and beach trip through Trip Advisor

I loved the restaurant that was attached. It was absolutely amazing and the beds were extremely comfy.

The bathroom was extremely small and the shower was open and didn’t have a door so water would get all over the floor causing guests to use additional towels to clean it all up.

This was a great place to call home for a quick trip to PR.

The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Their advice on what do do and where to eat was perfect. The availability of beach chairs and the use of the microwave made it feel like home!
