Exceptional

Everything was amazing, can't wait to come back. Personnel, facilities and overall atmosphere in Villa Emilia is thoroughly designed and created. My short stay was perfect. Special thanks to the reception, who helped me to open my luggage bag!

Excellent city stay

Excellent hotel with very helpful and kind employees. Room was of a decent size and clean. Great location.

We had a small hiccup at the checkout where the lady at the reception on Monday (different person than during prior days) initially didn't want to give us the coupon needed for a discounted parking fee saying the discount from the day prior would work (not sure how, we settled the fee the day prior as we drove our car that day).

Great location to get on Metro and very nice neighborhood.

The location was perfect for getting on the very close Metro Station. We had 3 family members in one room. The room was a good size. We loved the tables on the mezzanine level for playing games at night. The staff was very nice and spoke some English. Convenient area for taxis to park outside the front doors.

We did have to request extra towels and toiletries for our third person. The room was supplied for 2 people. No big deal though.

Good, but not fabulous

Location, staff, very cosy downstairs lounge and lovely looking terrace upstairs, large comfortable bed

Small things, but they still count: There weren't really any well placed sockets, no USB sockets, bathroom sliding door that doesn't really give much privacy as it leaves a fair gap, would do with a towel rail for two towels (not sure how it is during summer, but in winter time if you have shower in the evening, towels will not dry till morning hanged on provided "pegs"), no cups in room (apart from bathroom cups), single flush toilet instead of water saving double flush, lifts indicators not really working, etc

The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly, very helpful and the service was good. There are several nice coffee shops and restaurants in the area.

Great overall hotel, but not for family vacation

- breakfasts were perfect, definitely worth extra pay - clean rooms - great restaurant service - L’Occitane cosmetics in bathroom - great location (2 mins from the metro station). Mercadona grocery shop is 1 min walk from the hotel.

- the room was a bit small for 2 adults and 1 infant (our family) - we were not provided with a bathtub for infant

My favourite hotel in Barcelona

Big room at the back of the hotel as requested with a huge comfortable bed. Friendly staff and good breakfast, together with a central location. This was my second time staying here and I'll come back next time I'm in Barcelona.

We choose this hotel as it was convenient for the port. We stayed extra days to take in the sites and shopping. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Arranging transport to port and airport was arranged by the.staff. Would definitely recommend and return.
