About this house rental
Located in Nantucket, this charming house for $1,050 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to our family's Nantucket Cottage and adjacent Guest House in Nantucket's flag-spangled Historic District. The property is a short walk to town, the harbor, and Children's Beach. No car needed! But if you would like to bring your car, we have parking for one car. The property contains both a main house and a separate guest house, making it a perfect get-away for couples traveling together or for families traveling with friends, grandparents or a nanny. The main house features an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, large beams and a 1940s red-brick-fireplace. Surrounded by large windows, the dining room is bright and airy -- a perfect spot to have breakfast and make plans for a day of sightseeing, sailing, and cycling around the island. We have installed beautiful white custom Bali 2" Cordless Pleated Shades with Light Diffusing Privacy Liners on ALL windows in the main house. The kitchen has custom cabinets, Corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an eat-in breakfast bar. Together with the 5-Burner grill on the patio, the kitchen provides you with everything you need to cook and serve the perfect backyard family BBQ. The dining table seats 6. The living room boasts a comfortable sofa and a 48" SMART TV. You will also find a front-load washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a Queen bed with en suite bathroom and 32" SMART TV; the second bedroom has a QUEEN bed with built-in 6 drawer dresser. All told, the main house sleeps four. The Guest House is immediately adjacent to the main house. It sleeps two and has been completely refurbished. It has a QUEEN bed, a 40" SMART TV, a private bathroom and a kitchenette. Custom Bali 2" pleated shades on all windows. A small bluestone patio is located directly behind the guest house . The large backyard patio is surrounded by tall hedges and gorgeous shade trees. Recently, we added a new 5-Burner BBQ, a new patio dining table with seating for 6, and a new 4-piece seating area. Nantucket is beautiful in the summer and the days are warm. To keep you cool, we've installed a Mini-Split Air Conditioning system in both the main house and guest house. The entire property is well-appointed with crisp white cotton sheets, white fluffy bath towels, kitchen ware, utensils, glasses, dishes, and everything else you would need to feel at home on the island. All sheets and towels are professionally cleaned. Our property manager lives just a mile away, so if you need anything, he can be there in a matter of minutes. This house is great for families, couples, artists, writers, boaters, beach-lovers, and exhausted city-dwellers looking to relax. Come join us for a long weekend and stay as long as you like.

We have rented houses on Nantucket for ten years. This was by far our favorite house. Michele the owner was very responsive and thought of every detail - including birthday candles in the kitchen. The house itself is charming and well equipped. The location is great - lovely walk to town and close to two bike paths- we will be returning!

We visited 17 Quaker Road , a wonderful home in Nantucket. The furnishings were top notch: nice linens beds and well equipped for anything you needed. Good lighted areas for putting on makeup-good water pressure, and a delightful , well groomed back yard.
The owner, Michele , was a wonderful hostess and very helpful. The home is in a great location-an easy walk to downtown. We will definitely stay here again!!!

The house has every possible amenity you might need. We ended up making dinner 2 of the 3 nights and had everything we needed- beautiful table linens, pots/pans, sharp knives, long stemmed wine glasses and a large comfortable kitchen table that seats six people.
There are scrumptous, warm blankets and even candles on timers that come on at dusk. The towels are high quality and thick and the bed linens look like high-end hotel linens. Every room has a heat pump, including the cottage.
My husband and I stayed in the small cottage included on the property which is about 8 feet away. We had our own kitchenette with coffee maker, tv, and bathroom.
I highly recommend this property and hope to go back one day.

Great property, spacious, central to all activities. The house is wonderful and Michele and Mike were great and very responsive. We had plenty of room for the 5 of us. It was so nice to be able to BBQ with the gas grill and enjoy the big backyard. Thank you for having us again.

We have rented homes in Nantucket for 15 years and Michele's home was one of the best. It is immaculately clean, very well stocked, feels like new. The kitchen had everything and more, lovely back yard, great gas grill, the a/c was wonderful and location superb! My husband and I went with our adult daughter and her husband. They slept in the guest house, so we all had enough privacy. I HIGHLY recommend 17 Quaker. Thank you Michele for a wonderful week!

Perfect Nantucket stay!
Look no further for the perfect Nantucket house rental! It is ideal for a small family or group of friends. The house itself is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a short or long trip! It was spotless, comfortable and overall just so incredibly lovely. Lots of seating options to enjoy the backyard as well! We loved how close it was to town but also very easy to get to either side of the island. Michele is a wonderful host and has thought of so many details to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Cannot recommend this rental enough! We are looking forward to returning!!

When we arrived, there was a fabulous welcome basket waiting for us. We all loved it and it gave each of us a piece of Nantucket to take home.
It was clear that the host, Michele, put a lot of thought into every detail to make sure her guests are comfortable. She is the most gracious host- incredibly attentive, accommodating, and kind. We had some questions prior to our stay in regards to trip planning and logistics, and Michele provided us with all of the information we were looking for and more- including recommendations for things to do and where to eat.

Impeccable is the word that comes to mind when describing Michelle's VRBO. Impeccable quality throughout, Impeccable taste. We wouldn't change a thing.....even the window boxes were welcoming.

The only aspect to keep in mind is the home is on a very busy street and the drive way can only hold one mid-sized SUV. Also, there are not many sidewalks in this town so be careful walking around (e.g., rent a car). Overall, we highly recommend the home and Michele.

Beautiful Property
The house was beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Michele was truly the best host — she’s communicative, welcoming, and left no details unturned. Everything from the linens to the furniture layout to the cabinets contents to the flower boxes demonstrate the thoughtfulness / organization of the owners and property management team. I’ve been renting on Nantucket for 10+ years and have never been so pleasantly surprised by a property.
The location is also perfect - a quick walk to town and easily accessible drive to the beautiful beaches and neighborhood the island has to offer.
We had my parents and in-laws split the stay in the guest house. Which allowed them some additional privacy and quietness - a huge plus!
10/10. Would recommend.

Our family enjoyed a great week at 17 Quaker. The location was perfect — a short walk to town and close to several bike paths. The house is very comfortable. It is nicely furnished and has a lovely outdoor area. It was clean and had all we needed, including beach chairs and plenty of towels. Michele was a terrific host.
