The staff was so friendly, a very good price for a perfect hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff in reception, at breakfast and housekeeping. Good food/drink choices for breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. Great location for multiple beaches, restaurants and a bus to Chania town, although you can walk there in just over an hour.

I came to stay for almost a week in Sept 2022, having found the hotel thanks to its excellent reviews - on here as well as on Google Maps. The place certainly lived up to my expectations and even managed to exceed them!! Everything was fantastic - from my room with a spacious terrace, through breakfast (with amazing Yana), to the overall vibe / friendly atmosphere. This largely comes down to the incredible reception ladies! Special thanks to Vicky and Elena - always happy to chat, help and give recommendations (as true locals). Both smiling and funny, one of them is a little crazy, in the best possible way!! The location of the hotel is also really good, there are many options where to go eat nearby (I liked Sunbaboo and Pyramis the most, unfortunately didn't get a chance to try Pita Grill across the road). The bus stop to Chania is close by too and there's a small shop just across the road. The hotel is within walking distance (up to 20-25 mins) to 4 beautiful beaches, my favourite was Yannis Beach. However, the closest one is less than 5 mins only.

Room was too small, too much furniture. Iron and hair dryer was not great. air conditioner did not work.

it is just a lovely small hotel next to the beach. Truly helpful and kind staff. Everyone was greeting us and asking how we’ve been. Breakfast is good as well - freshly prepared orange juice, different types of local foods.

Wow! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, we felt very welcomed! The room was clean and modern. The breakfast was good, fresh squeezed orange juice unlimited, fresh baked pastries, eggs, cheese, yogurt, fruits, coffee and more. This hotel is a little gem , the price is good, supermarket across the street, a few restaurants in walking distance. We didn’t go to the closest beach, we rented a car and visited different beaches and cities. Chania is 15-20 minutes away, but plan your parking before you go. Restaurant Orexi is highly recommended! The grilled sardines and house wine were delicious :)

The best stay in Crete! First of all, I would like to praise the entire staff. They are really friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. Special praise goes to cook Jana, who prepares delicious breakfasts. Divine homemade food prepared with love. And there is really a lot of choice of varied food for breakfast. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and above all clean, due to daily cleaning. Thank you for such a stay at your place!

In can't say much about it.... I think the breakfast could be a little bit of more things. But it's was a good breakfast and satisfying.

This is a lovely little hotel with a very nice pool. It has a great breakfast area by the pool and Yianna makes and INCREDIBLE breakfast. All the staff went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Vicky and Elena were both very helpful and had excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We arrived in Chania at 6:30 a.m. on the overnight ferry from Athens. We had communicated in advance about our early arrival. They told us to have breakfast by the pool and check in once the reception staff arrived. Oh my goodness what a breakfast!! Greek yogurt with honey, nuts, dried fruit. Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, pastries and cakes... Yianna was so welcoming and put out an amazing spread! It was lovely to sit by the pool. Our two bedroom suite wasn't ready yet, but Vicky in reception let us borrow beach towels and check our luggage. She was great -- knowledgeable, bent over backwards to be helpful, and her English is terrific. The hotel is only about 2 blocks from the lovely Kalamaki beach, but since it was so early, we opted for the 1.5 hour drive to Elafonissi beach on the south coast of Crete. Beautiful drive through magnificent scenery and a wonderful beach once you get there! In the evening Elena was at the front desk and recommended a good restaurant in Chania called "Throumbie," a bit off the main tourist drag, and innovative food. Would highly recommend Elia Kalamaki for anyone visiting the Chania area. The staff is EXCELLENT!
