Welcome to Penthouse Paradise-on-Prom, a luxury condo in Seaside. Visitors love Seaside, the best beach town with the best beach in the Pacific Northwest. For over 100 years, this has been the place to be for family fun. This gorgeous, top-floor, wide ocean view condo is located on Seaside's historic, beautiful, mile-and-a-half-long Promenade at the Sand and Sea Condominium complex, a block from town. The condo is newly refurbished and updated with high-end amenities. Admire sunsets and far-off horizon views, which sometimes include migrating birds, fishing boats, and big ships. You'll have a bird's-eye perch for all of Seaside's big events and competitions; see big kites, ultra-light-sport aircraft, fireworks, and drones flying at eye level. Have fun watching everything that happens at the beach turn-around, all the while sunbathing on the lanai or lounging inside. Only Seaside has so many fun things to do, from strolling and riding bicycles made for 10 to enjoying bumpers and miniature golf on the main street. Welcoming families and groups of fun-loving people, this condo sleeps seven comfortably and you can ask for more roll-away beds. Penthouse-on-Prom features an entire 28-foot-wide west wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. The primary bedroom has a private bathroom and a tub/shower combo. The Penthouse is on the south sunny side of the building. Laying in bed, you have a view of the ocean and Tillamook Head. Step into the living room and you'll find plenty of couch seating around a TV. One couch doubles as a queen sofa bed for additional sleeping space. The white marble floors are heated and can be used as a heat source, turned on high all winter (there are two thermostats). There is also central heating. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony provide for wide views all the way north to Washington and south to Tillamook Head. Use the binoculars for an even closer look! Watch the waves, surfers, clam diggers, fishermen, and people walking their dogs on the Prom. Or, see the newest people-mover boards, wheels, kites, things to ride, it's all here. Hike over Tillamook Head, play golf, take a helicopter ride, or go fishing out of Astoria. There are so many great restaurants and attractions that you'll surely want to return, and this could be your second home/beach house. You will enjoy this space. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up some quick and easy meals for your group. There are also hairdryers in both bathrooms, free WiFi throughout the condo, and an ice machine on the first floor. Please note, however, that there is no washer/dryer. THINGS TO KNOW Sand & Sea is a non-smoking property. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 6. Security camera details: Property is monitored 24 hours - parking area, elevator access, pool. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Our stay was perfect! The place was fun in decoration, while outdated it was still nice. The check in process was very easy and the lady at that front desk was so kind and helpful :)
The views were amazing, and the staff was very helpful with the few requests we needed!

Alas, I was not able to stay as my kid n I were sick. However, my aunt and uncle stayed and absolutely loved it! Fabulous view, very clean, and easy beach and boardwalk access.

The view of the ocean from the higher floor was beautiful. We enjoyed a couple of amazing sunsets. The layout of the condo was great for three adults and two kids. The downside is that the property is in serious need of being updated, both the furnishings and the paint and interior. It felt very old and tired. With a little TLC to update the property it would be awesome.

Everything was in good repair and the beds were of good quality. Good placement of wall mirrors gives you a view at every turn. The only reason it's not a 5 star is some lack of air circulation in the second bedroom.

Very disappointed. Condo was described as “recently renovated”. It was not and hasn’t appeared to have been for years or a decade. Everything was old and worn. No view from bed unless you were sleeping on the sofa sleeper in the living room which had a note on it saying “do not use, broken”. Would not stay here again.

Our stay was overall a great experience. The view and location was absolutely wonderful. We were able to cook dinner a couple nights which was nice. There was a couple things like the hideabed in the front room was broke, the main bedroom didn't have heat when the rest of the condo was warm (we utilized the extra quilt), and the pool was RATHER CHILLY. The advertisement stated that it has been updated but the decor is funky and some might say out dated but our family had a great time and felt comfortable here. We will definitely keep this condo in the books for return vacations.

Lets start with the good, gorgeous view! That is about where it ends. The glass surrounding the patio was so dirty you couldn't even see through it, so you couldn't see the beach while sitting down. There were spider webs all over it and all over the patio, my girls didn't even want to be out there. There were spider webs in the corner of the rooms inside the unit. The floors and rugs were not cleaned nor vacuumed thoroughly. The plug ins in the bedrooms were based off of the light switches, so you couldn't charge anything without the lights being on. Which is not convenient when most people charge their phones at night. The master bedroom didn't have blinds on the window, only cheap white curtains that blocked no light. The spare bedroom didn't have a screen on the window and this window led to the hall where people walk past. So my daughter felt scared to leave the window open, and their room was unbearingly stuffy and they couldn't sleep very well.
I had a person from Vacasa texting me asking about the stay. But, when I gave all these problems and asked for a partial refund, (especially the cleaning fee deposit, since it wasn't clean),there was no response and no help to solve problems. I will be escalating this to my credit card company and asking for them to contact the business. Will not ever use Vacasa again. I get it things happen with units, but they did nothing to rectify the situation.

We loved the view and how close it is to downtown Seaside. The one thing we were disappointed in was the hall bathroom walk in shower. It is beautiful marble but there is no shelf to put the shampoo or soap on. The blinds that go up or down with the push of a button is a nice touch until you lose power. Then you can’t open or close them. Yes we agree with the others about the furniture being a bit mismatched but it was comfortable.

The view was absolutely wonderful from this unit. The kitchen and front room met our needs and we’re very comfortable. The only downside was the beds. The king bed was okay but very hard. The queen and twin mattresses were horrible. You could feel the springs when lying on the beds. We would love to rent this unit again but not until the mattresses are replaced.

We stay in this building every 6 months. This particular unit was very unique in decor, cute style and the beds were very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall a good stay with some issues.
Pros: Wonderful view from main rooms and you can see the ocean from the master as well. Everything was pretty clean. Dated (kinda strange) but very comfortable furniture. Quiet, corner condo. Heated floors & free coffee nice touches.
Cons: TV in main room didn’t work (yes we tried everything), smelled strongly of smoke upon arrival and the second bedroom where my kids slept was missing the smoke alarm. Texted back and forth with Vacasa about these issues & they said they had “notified the local staff” but nothing was ever done.
Minor bummer- no pizza pan if you want to bake pizza (we bought a pan at Safeway lol).
Upon check out the front office staff asked how everything was so I said good overall except the above issues. They apologized & said they will refund some of the fees which was a nice surprise.
We’ve stayed with Vacasa in several locations and will continue to do so.

Talk about a view! That's exactly what we were looking for. The condo was extremely clean as well. From the other reviews that talked about decor...it was kind of a mish mash of antique meets eclectic but we thought it made for great conversation.

It was a beautiful view, however the fan in the main bathroom was broken and the master bedroom only has a very small wall heater that does not keep the room warm.

I am 5’2” and had a hard time reaching even the bottom shelf of the top cabinets. The fan above the stove was almost out of reach for me . Had to really reach to touch it . I don’t understand why anyone puts these things so high . Over then that it is a nice unit . Don’t know if I would rent it again.
