Maybe the location and the quiet room
The palazzo is very old and not well kept. I know others have mentioned the stairs but they are not simply steep, they are really not made for climbing up and down with luggage but also high heels or any nice shoes. The furniture is ok, and the room was not very clean, I found a hair under my foot (blonde) and I am not blonde.

It was in a perfect location just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza Maggiore. On the top floor of an old palazzo, our room was spacious and comfortable - three excellent nights’ sleep in a lovely comfy bed. The bathroom was clean with a big walk-in shower with plenty of hot water.
The stairs! You need to be reasonably fit to cope with them but I am 69 and I managed!

Fantastic location and excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful.
Parking is tricky because it's in the historic centre, but that's the price you pay for the location being ideal for all the sights.

Good location and very kind and supportive staff.
Parking can not be found without help. No elevators and all rooms in the top floor.
