I checked in early, so I didn't expect my room to be ready, but the lovely lady on reception found me one that was...with an absolutely gorgeous Cardiff Bay view! It's amazing I managed to get any work done with that view, but I did, and the wifi was great.
The room was extremely comfortable, had towelling robes and nice quiet a/c.
The spa was great - I had the pool and sauna to myself at one point. Lovely pool. Spa pool is also nice, although perhaps could do with modernising (I'm being picky now, it's not in bad condition, it just doesn't have the latest hydro stuff!).
Again on check out, the staff were absolutely lovely.
Although I loved my stay, I did stay here before around 15 years ago for a very boujie wedding and it seemed more like a luxury hotel back then. Not a criticism, because the room rate was absolutely good value so they've obviously adjusted their rates. I would definitely stay again whilst on business or for a break.
Although the hotel is only just at the edge of the bay, it seems to have been designed with cars in mind, so when walking out of the hotel, you feel like you're going around the outside - the car parks, etc - to get to the cafes & restaurants area. I feel like there could be a much nicer pedestrian walkway to the bay.
Also, I arrived by train to Cardiff Central and thought it would be easy to get here. Nope. No direct train to the station at the bay and buses run every half an hour.

We have stayed a few times there the spa is always good.
The room had issues flush on toilet was hard to use the shower was leaking and on and off hot and cold

Spa , comfort of the bed , lovely view amazing breakfast
I thought there could have been a little more condiments in the room like coffee ect it was difficult to find the spa at first , I think the price is a bit much for this hotel to be honest
