It was ok

Good position and nice hotel

We couldn’t sleep as there was a constant dripping noise that was coming from the ceiling , like a dripping water tank .

Great for the rugby

Room was very spacious and a nice view of the castle. The Italian rugby team were there and very nicely integrated into the guests.

Staff were a bit stony faced and could have been warmer. The room was on the student route back home after the pubs and clubs shut so we were woken up by that

We slept well and the central location was ideal

The bedroom. It is extraordinary that there was no mirror with the dressing table. My wife expects to be able to dry her hair in front of a mirror. That is impossible at the Hilton. I was told that none of the bedrooms had mirrors. And why was there only whole milk with the tea/coffee? Skimmed or semi skimmed is much nicer/healthier.

Great central hotel with a pool

Some areas like the pool are a bit tired but they are in the middle of refurbishing the hotel

Best hotel I have ever stayed at in Cardiff

The cleanliness, attention to detail in the room, the bed & bedding was of a very high standard and extremely comfy. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, we couldn't hear road noise or other patrons. The breakfast was stunning. All staff extremely helpful & polite, nothing too much trouble.

No where near the quality of other Hiltons!

The graze restaurant. 2 hours waiting for food which was not the best and the order was wrong. The l side arrived after the meal and even that was wrong! One lift, long queue to use it. Fridge in room not working.

Apart from the lift problem… it was really good

The property and staff was brilliant

It was only one lift working and some times you could have been waiting at least 20 minutes before getting on the lift

Great location but outdated hotel

The room and location was nice

The spa is completely outdated.Hygien level in the spa was horrible.Mold next to the pool and while I took a shower I stepped on a chewing gum.Also my body felt itchy after the pool.Only one lift worked and we couldn't use the stairs so sometimes it took ages to get in and out from the hotel

Average. Gym needs refurb and modernising.

It overlooked the castle

Bed base units were exposed. This made the bed look grubby and tatty. No sheets or covers on the bottom. Definitely not 5 star in appearance. Gave the effect that bed had not been made up properly.

Great location and extremely quiet room

The most quiet room we have booked in any hotel (refurbished option). Good breakfast Great location Great staff

Little ventilation around fridge which meant it got hot, so took a long time for items to cool, and the enclosing cupboard top got very hot. No plug next to mirror, so difficult to use hair dryers etc

Zentral gelegenes Hotel. Vorsicht am WE bei Alkoholexzessen vieler Gäste.

Personal größtenteils freundlich und hilfsbereit. Große geräumige Zimmer. Sehr gute Lage im Zentrum von Cardiff, direkt am Castle. Bute Park ebenfalls direkt gegenüber.

Personal teils wenig freundlich. Betrunkene Gäste im gesamten Haus. Bierpfützen und alkoholisierte Gäste, die äußerst laut sind. Das Frühstück ist jeden Tag gleich mit bescheidener Auswahl und geringer Qualität. Obst/Salat war teils verdorben und faulig. Kaffeemaschinen oft kaputt. Kaffee minderwertig.

Lovely room, great facilities and very friendly and accommodating staff.

Lovely room with a castle view. The use of the executive lounge and the included breakfast are welcome bonuses that make a big difference. The staff are incredibly friendly and very welcoming, especially to our dog!

The cleanliness of the toilets in reception could be better. Also, would be better to have more toilets that are not unisex.

Very disappointing.

-No direct access to the hotel from the car park, so families with young children and bags will struggle -Car park itself is not very secure and very tight - The hotel room, King Junior suite was freezing, the kids couldn't sleep, the air con was on 26 degrees but was not working, we requested a heater which was provided but which also made the room super dry so the kids kept waking up thirsty, there was no low setting. -the breakfast options were not to Hilton standard, very poor quality and not much variety. -Our coffee machine in the room didn't work and the blankets the bought us were not washed, they smelt dusty. -We were trapped outside of our room with two young children for at least 20 minutes because the room key wasn't working because the door lock battery had run out. The cushions were so uncomfortable and we didn't get enough fresh towels and bedsheets.

Fantastic location, friendly helpful staff and comfortable room.

The room was excellent and the breakfast very good. The staff were hugely helpful and friendly.

The recent price increase in dinner menu does make the restaurant surprisingly expensive. For example, the burger was excellent quality but with chips, the price is now £28. This is too expensive for burger and chips.

First time staying at the Hilton! We booked it for a girly weekend to celebrate my birthday! The location was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to check in 2 hours early as the rooms were ready and we had something booked for the afternoon. The beds were super comfy! Best night sleep I've had in a long time! And a fantastic selection of breakfast and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back!

A few little niggles. When getting ready there wasn't a plug nearby a mirror apart from the shaving plug in the bathroom but not compatible with UK plug for preparing hair prior to going out! The main mirror in the bedroom had a socket for a plug but had a cover plate over it which was unfortunate as had to keep running to the mirror from the bedside plug to check what hair I had missed to curl! And there was a fault with the bathroom sink plug, we failed to open it to release the water so everytime we had a wash the water would just sit in the sink for a while! Not major issues and definitely wouldn't stop me returning! Would just bring a mirror with me next time! ☺️

Nice short stay with welcoming staff

Large clean space with a silent night sleep, Aircon was a nice bonus,

Air-conditioning could have been colder, 17c is still to warm, I enjoy a cold room.

The employee has a good manner

I only liked the location

An Arab employee named Bassam was working during breakfast and he was talking about my country and his style, which is not compatible with this hotel. I advise against returning to him.

Disappointed by Welsh signage. Not a way to welcome foreign visitors.

Check in staff were very friendly and helpful.

The signs next to the lift buttons were all in Welsh. Not very good for a hotel that is situated in the heart of Cardiff and no doubt has guests from around the world, many who use English to communicate. Very arrogant of the Welsh.

Не работал один из 2-х лифтов. Это создавало неудобство. Из-за перегруженности рабочего лифта мы с мужем пользовались лестницей, где было не очень чисто. Еще одно замечание. Возможно, это не только ответственность отеля. Но, думаю, что отель может влиять на это. Наше окно выходило на "задний двор", где расположена площадка для мусорных контейнеров. Она в ужасном состоянии... Такому респектабельному отелю не подобает допускать рядом такую грязь. Фото не стала прикладывать, чтобы "сохранить лицо" отелю

Fantastic stay definitely stay again

Disappointing

Breakfast was decent.

The bed was small and the room too hot. The temperature could only be reduced by opening the window which wasn't a good option on a Saturday night. And the bathroom wasn't clean.

Overall stay was enjoyable and would book again.

Fabulous location and very clean both the room and ten spa/gym

The bedding is feather filled, in most cases this is fine however my partner is asthmatic and he can not use feather bedding, normally there is spare in a room so can change but there was no spare available.

I can’t fault the hilton! Clean styling rooms amazing spa and the staff couldn’t help enough we loved our stay.

Beautiful modern rooms! Excellent location and lovely staff would 100% happily stay again

The only thing i can moan about is the bins being emptied at 6am but this is out of the hotels control. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing

It’s not a 5 star venue my partner asked for refills of coffee and tea on first attempt she couldn’t get any She finally did get some !!! having worked in hospitality myself for 30 + years I have a fair understanding of meeting and exceeding customer expectations I didn’t get that feeling during our visit
