The history
Very difficult to find, if you called the front desk it was very hard to hear and understand anyone from the background noise and mainly the static in the phone line, there was not enough towels for two people and when asked for more I was told it was $5 euros for each set, windows leaked and frame around the windows down the wall, and didn’t lock properly so when it rained the window opened fully and rain came in the room, the floor, sheets and bed was wet. The lady working was no help when I called but finally said she’d come up but didn’t. I went out in the pouring rain and asked who was coming up she said no one she was by herself and there wasn’t anything she could do. I wasn’t allowed to speak to a supervisor or manager. She never fully focused on me and our need as the customer in front of her and when anyone came up behind me she directed her attention to them. After being persistent she finally called her manager and they told her to go and look in the room and if it was a fully disaster they could move us to another room. 2.5hrs later we were in the other room, BUT it wasn’t the upgraded room or updated room we had. The A/C didn’t work good and only in the bedroom, it was much smaller and the mattress was terrible, it squeaked every time you sat on it. The room was very uncomfortable and I felt like I was being watched somehow. The manager called the next morning, and said he waited until we were up to call. I asked how he knew we’re up and he said he could tell from the garden window and see the light. The windows were not opened, nor were the shutters open, there wasn’t away to see any light. The same feeling was there with the first room as well.
For all the trouble we had, we were only comped $70 euros for the upgrade.
