It's a lovely historical hotel, with indulgently comfy beds and duvets. The location is great as well - short walk to the restaurants and city centre, but quiet during the night. Very comfy choice for a short stay. The rooms were spotless, and the reception was open and ready to help 24/7.
It's not really the hotel's fault, but the accomodation prices in Edinburgh are really high. Value for money was the only flaw of my stay.

The property is a small boutique hotel that was very clean and comfortable. It was very walkable to the main tourist areas but in a very quiet neighborhood, away from the traffic

In the end we liked being further from old town. It was a relief to be away from the crowds and deanaugh street nearby was so cute
This should not be a part of SLH. The hotel is extremely run down, dirty walls, torn up carpet, broken wood, old paint. There are no amenities. It was shocking upon entry. Its more of an old b&b, not a luxury hotel.
