Wow!!! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Giacomo, who was so warm and welcoming. That same warmth and hospitality continued throughout our entire stay.
My husband and I reserved the room with the private terrace, and the pictures online simply do not do it justice. The terrace is massive, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. We found ourselves just sitting out there taking it all in—the views truly leave you speechless.
We also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of the light snacks and juices provided in our room, which were replenished every day.
Pietragialla and Giacomo are truly a treat! We loved our stay and would happily return.

Giacomo was a fabulous, thoughtful and helpful host. The property is so well placed for exploring Matera. It is a unique stay, authentic to Matera’s history - but also wonderfully comfortable, with modern amenities.

The terrace was beautiful and in a central location
Traffic during all hours of the night. Room was very basic, with breakfast options being very minimal. Broken glass door going out to the terrace.
