Everything. The accommodation is superb and Chris and Caroline are such brilliant and caring hosts who are so diligent. The rooms are so comfortable with such lovely bedding and furnishings and quality toiletries - brilliant attention to detail. The breakfast is so good too with so many options. There is a lovely bar here too with reasonably priced drinks and the hotel is in the heart of Eastbourne and close to lots of restaurants and bars and 5 minutes to the train station. I’ve stayed here 4 times and really look forward to coming back - fantastic place and so homely.

A very well presented and maintained B&B in a tastefully renovated Victorian building provided an excellent base from which to explore the Seven Sisters and surrounds, and Eastbourne itself. Caroline and Chris could not have been more welcoming nor more practical in their advice how to use our limited time. Although 'location' might be measured, in Eastbourne, by proximity to the beach, Ravilious is only five minutes' walk from there, plus very close to both an international lawn tennis venue and one of the best small contemporary art galleries, the Towner, I have experienced in the UK. Ravilious is also an easy, 10- min walk from the train and bus stations. The breakfast was outstansing. Highly recommended.
Overall we were more than satisfied on all fronts.We were on the top of four floors, requiring a bit of a hike - there is no lift. Chris kindly carried our bags up, and the stairs proved no problem for us. Anyone with mobility limits or particularly heavy luggage, however, would be advised to factor that in to a booking request, as lower floors would be preferrable.
