Exceptional

Excellent location. Excellent staff. Hats off to Patricia and Marta who went off the grid and helped me and my family to get rooms before check in time after a very tiring journey. Thank you very very much. Kids slept well and were fresh by the evening for a splendid tour.

Great place to relax

Everything was great. The walk out balcony was the most perfect thing. It was great to just lay out and relax after a busy week. The location was perfect as well.

Our room was not ready earlier than we would have liked for it to be. That was not much of a problem though. We stayed in the lobby until it became available.

We stayed for 6 nights. We paid for a room with the roof terrace. The room was clean tidy and fresh with 2 complementary bottles of water. The room was just right for 2 and the terrace made relaxing in the early hours enjoyable. The breakfast was different to what I am used to but it had something for everyone. Location was ideal less than a 2min walk from the hotel entrance to the subway entrance. Shops,cafes, restaurants all within less than a few minutes walk. Staff were well presented, polite and friendly (especially as my Spanish is not very good) most staff understood my English so that was a huge relief. The hotel even held our bags for the day as our flight wasn't until 2215. We used a taxi to get to the hotel from the airport and back again it cost $30 each way. Then to top it all off we forgot an item. So we contacted the hotel and they had it in their safe. An email with my details and they are sending it to me. This hotel is 10 out of 10 and we will be returning to Madrid next year and will be staying with you again Kevin room 608

Good shower and bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Very good breakfast. Great location.

No mini bar or fridge in room. No bar facilities or beer etc in vending machine.

We loved being in Puerta Del Sol and the hotel was great.

Location was super. Staff was fantastic and helpful. Rooms were a good size. Wifi worked well.

Breakfast was decent and I would have liked more options. The umbrella on our patio was broken and hard to manipulate.

If all the Bedrooms are the same than seriously needs an complete renovation. The bathroom was awful, toilet moved when you sat on it. Blackout curtains needed and we had workmen outside our room at 8-00 am painting the outside!!

Location , location location.

Central to everything. You can safely walk and its close to the train and tourist arears. Beds comfortable. Breakfast is the best.

Superb spot - marred by suboptimal facilities

Superb location

The radiator heater did not work - and the airconditioner did not work well or consistently. It meant the room was either stuffy or cold. It is very likey this contributed to the development of a viral cold.

Stay at hotel was mixed. Great location but issues like limited cleaning, and rude housekeeping.

I liked the central location of the hotel, with many things nearby such as the San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol all within a short distance. The hotel was only a 10-minute walk to the San Miguel Market, a 10-minute walk to Plaza Mayor, and just a 1-minute walk to Puerta del Sol, which made it very convenient to explore the city. The location made it easy to access all of the major attractions and amenities in the area.

One thing I didn't like about the hotel was that there was no minibar or fridge in the room. This made it difficult to store any drinks or snacks we wanted to have during our stay. Additionally, the staff only cleaned the room once in the morning, which meant that we had to ask for towels and take out the trash to the reception if we needed them during the day. Another issue was that the hotel was not modern as its name suggests. The bathtub, for example, was old and had clear stains on it, which was not appealing. The area around the hotel was quite noisy, which was understandable given its location near Puerta del Sol, but it made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Finally, the housekeeping staff were rude when we asked about getting some extra blankets. They seemed annoyed by our request and were not very helpful.

Smack bang in the middle of the city! The location was exceptional.

The staff were unhelpful. The rooms were far too small.
