The spa facility was extensive and really well laid out. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and you really feel you’ve stepped back in time. Also, the spa services were good and reception staff very friendly.
The building could use some updating in terms of room furniture and bathroom, etc.

Great balcony attached to our room and it was relatively dog friendly (they would not provide a proper water bowl so we had to make do with a saucer). The food in the cafe was good and the restaurant staff were nice.
The Spa facilities were underwhelming and unfortunately some parents allow their kids to treat the pool and jacuzzi like a splash pool (even bringing pool noodles). Our room had a musty smell coming from the bathroom and we could hear a lot of noise from 6am onwards (running and screaming kids kept us awake).
