Location.
That the room allocated was just at a lounge area. While it is sound proof … still lacked privacy to some extend.
Cleaning was also not consistent. One day good one day not.

Firstly, the staff at the hotel are consummate professionals and exceptionally friendly. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the city. You can walk to most of the main sites from the hotel. Unfortunately that is where it ends.
The Ambassador is billed as a 5 star hotel. If you're used to 'conventional' 5 star facilities then you will be disappointed here. There is no restaurant for lunch /evening meals (a couple of years back the restaurant was listed as one of the go to's in Vienna) but has now apparently shut down. Breakfast is available (30Euro per person, normal for Vienna) No other facilities of note. The bar is soulless and poorly decorated as is most of the hotel. We booked a business class room. No desk, only sockets are down at skirting board level so if you want to charge anything it will inevitably be at floor level or bring a long lead. You could charge by the bedside tables but if you are looking to work / use laptop etc then it will be on your lap(!). Rooms are large but very dated in decor and furniture and ours were quite tatty (chipped, worn etc.) TV is disproportionally small for size of the room. Bathroom looks like it has been refurbished and was spacious and clean. In summary if you're only bothered by location then you will struggle to do better. If you are after more of a 'hotel experience' then look elsewhere
