About this house rental

Situated in Big Bear, this lovely house for $524 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to ‘Pine Heart Manor’, nestled amongst the shadowed wood, deep in the Fox Farm neighborhood. A mere walk to the lake and conveniences, yet removed enough to offer my guests privacy, the home sits next to a glorious silhouette of a forest preserve.   The land offers ye over an acre, decorated with fruit trees and a horseshoe pit, surrounded by old Jeffrey Pines and nature galore. Sip coffee from a rocker on my quaint covered porch, read below my branches casting shadows upon thy words, play croquet atop the green blades of grass, stare at the stars and watch the stream sometimes flow.   Meander through my Kings of Limbs with wafts of lilac lore.  Come on in, open the door of my Victorian-style Big Bear Lake Lodge.  Home is where my Green Marble Hearth is, adorned with tall shiny fire dogs and tools of brass.  Here, one discovers the stately bricked teeth of the wood burning fireplace. Logs are provided to get you warm and toasty.  Let stories and laughter burn memories forever in your mind, while a wall of canines peers over your shoulder.   Pioneer Hall is half country kitchen, half mess hall; complete with a breakfast bar and kitchen island.  Within the cabinets find classy mismatched glasses, hearty dishes and utensils for all, keen cutlery, as well as any cooking tool or appliance you could possibly need.  I have two ovens and a stunning replica of a vintage stove. Fresh Mountain Spring Water is pumped into the house’s veins and filtered for your hydration. Sit in not one, but two dining areas; the casual farmhouse table with a backyard view seats ten, and my more formal side to the front sits comfortably eight.  This room also features a large, framed map of the area to help you navigate. And of course, chairs can always be moved to accommodate in this big bear cabin. The first floor flows to the master ‘Dream Lair’ suite, with a glamorous King bed and a double bathroom sink.  A jetted tub, rain shower, and water closet allow you to escape. Write your novel or just live a dreamy life. The other bedroom across the way, I call it ‘Book Chamber’ and it boasts a Queen daybed, pull out Twin trundle and a perfect reading chair to compliment the library collection. A half bath and a mud room with extra-large laundry appliances round out this lower level. Head upstairs to the ‘Rumpus Room’ and you’ll find a massive tree trunked pool table, and a bar with an icebox and sink (sorry, spirits not provided).  Play a card game, cuddle up for a movie, or get together and hang out late. Sleep upon the Queen pullout if need be. Two rooms flank each wing; ‘Bear’s Den’ fit with a King.  It shares a full bathroom with ‘Sky Forest’, there lay your head upon a Queen and a Twin. On the opposite side, you have sun laden ‘Moose Corner’, it’s bright with a hint of wild west and the bed is a Queen.  With a shared full bath next door, find yourself in ‘Antler Study’, with an electric fireplace, mighty King bed and majestic balcony. Though the house’s bones may be of old wood, my technology is very up to date.  Find eight new TV sets throughout; cast wirelessly, plug your device into easily accessible HDMI hook-ups, whilst cable TV is provided, and watch from any of your apps to which you may subscribe.  Play music wirelessly from your device using Sonos. Or, for those old souls who appreciate the truest sounds, a record player is supplied. The grand house that she is, looms back from the road, with plenty of parking.  Her masonry is strong, her mantle thick. Her furniture is solid and her hardware, robust.  Wood blinds and custom valances cover the windows. At night, rooms can be illuminated by faux candlelight. With cozy, clean blankets and luxury linens, no extravagance has been overlooked.  In Spring, the trees, bushes and flower petals grow. Head to the lake in summer to boat, then barbecue on my expansive two level deck (gas grill and charcoal smoker included), with sunset views through thick black tree shadows you could never expect.  Watch birds, or mingle with loved ones within my wildly decorated walls or upon the forest floor. Fall is a gorgeous spectacle when the leaves change color, a visit to my Manor is not to be missed. In Wintertime, head to the slopes in ten minutes, come home and light a wood fire.  Soak in the salt water hot tub morning, noon and night. Try it in Sun, Rain & Snow, actually in all seasons, for the spa is brand new and good to go. The back half of my land is fully fenced.  Cross my bridge into thy hollow, put on a play or belt out a wallow.  It is difficult to choose for there is an abundance of outdoor seating.  Warm your bones by the gas fire pit, there is also a massive outdoor table to seat eight or more, benches scattered about the yard and even a hammock for a little nap.  Take a stroll through the quiet streets of this alluring neighborhood.   Soaring Eagles, Blue Jays and Woodpeckers are seen in profusion, so binoculars are supplied for the birder in you.  Although the forest is lit by the bold moon light, flashlights are equipped for those who spook easily at night. I offer a foam roller and Yoga mats to help guide you in your laze and leisure. Upon these walls, find abounding knowledge; forest-themed books, vintage photos and postcards of the forgotten.  I am calling upon the respectful and the weary; Rest, be assured, you’ll get a-plenty, all you have to do is obtain me. Be My Guests, Scarlet Hunter Proprietor, Pine Heart Manor Outdoor furniture cushions are not available during winter months. Totally enjoyed our time here. Large enuf for our family, inside and out. Lovely and spacious decks, outdoor seating and yard. Thoroughly stocked kitchen which made it easy to cook for a large group. Despite an ant problem on counters and in pantry, it proved to be a great home for our family reunion.

As soon as I checked in, it was obvious to me that this is a vacation home for a family that receives the love and attention to detail that one would have in their own home. Everything was super clean, the house has a ton of amenities, and has a very warm and inviting vibe. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here for our snowboarding trip. It is in the ideal location, right next to markets, restaurants, and the summit. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone that is travelling to big bear. Thank you to the host!
