This place is as bad as the reviews state. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but it was the worst rental experience I’ve ever encountered. First off, the pictures should be considered fraud and taken down from VRBO (looks nothing alike)!! Also, it says it sleeps 16, we struggled fitting 7 people. 2 of the beds in the house were just a mattress, no sheets, pillows, or anything else. Everything was dirty, lights didn’t work, the balcony was flooded with snow, including the drive ways. This house should not be listed on VRBO as it is a disgrace to the company. I ADVISE THAT YOU TRUST THE REVIEWS AND BOOK A DIFFERENT HOUSE I DIDNT TRUST THE REVIEWS, and look at me now, I’m writing a review… 0/5 stars Please remove off VRBO

Very unhappy we had to sleep on the floor silverware wasn't enough Sheets pillows blankets were not enough to cover 16 people Property wasn't well cleaned Not vacuumed properly spider webs all over the walls

We have arrive at 3:00 am was rough day all day bye the time we got here we got in the house and it was disaster . Door handle main door was loos /very loos . Lots of light not working I had to move light bulbs from place to place to make it work . Refrigerator was off We turn it on and we have a lot of food and meat, bye the Time we were up the freezer was only working and we had to take all the food and go to town to get ice and coolers so we can save all the food and the meat we got . Blinds were broken in several rooms .one fan in one bedroom it’s shaking hard we had to turn it off and the other one in the main family room not even working . Only one fan at the hose to use . We had to use the swamp cooler in the family room . Lots of broken furniture. Lots of bugs an ants and spiders/ spider webs .honestly so many functional cabinet, ,door , we tried to turn tv on and battery’s was missing and we don’t even know where the speaker remote . To be honest if it was up to me I would left this rental but we had no choice been with 3 babies and 2 Under 8 years kids as well and lots of staff and food it’s won’t a good idea so please if u can to make someone out of it . I will definitely reach out rental company and let them know it’s not a Pleasant experience at all .

Lovely! I have allergies to animals but also needed something dog friendly for family. I had really bad allergies at the property and so did another member of my family but otherwise it was nice! The view is incredible!

Beautiful property, the pictures can’t do it justice! Morning view is gorgeous. Everyone had a blast. From adults to kids, we have zero complaints. Except don’t forget your trash you just dump elsewhere.

I have stayed in many many places before. First time I see a home, so dirty, shower drain not working properly, toilet paper holder broken, and needless to say, the kitchen was empty. Not even Salt was available. No forks.

We loved our time in Big Bear. We loved this home. We had a minor problem with a bathroom the first day and it was fixed the next morning. The only real negative would be the sleeping arrangements. There are two really nice rooms and the other locations to sleep were not so nice. We had 15 people and we felt this was probably too crowded for our group (which included an infant and 3 others under 7.

My husbands family does a trip every Fourth of July and with 12-16 adults it’s hard to find a place that fits us all. This was the first time we had changed our beach plans and decided to try a new place. We saw the cabin and it seemed to fit all we needed. Our time there was enjoyable. We were in perfect distance to walk downtown, to the nearest trail and down to the Marina. We watched the fireworks from the balcony were the view was perfect. We would definitely consider coming back. The only complaint everyone had was the heat. The AC unit does not work and it’s only an issue when we are ready to go to bed. There were fans provided around the house but it took time to cool the upstairs. But coming from 106-110 degree weather it wasn’t to big of a deal.

First off I was sent to the wrong address to pick up the keys, and although the employees there were extremely nice and professional they could not help with any issues at the rental. Second thing was prior to renting this specific location I read the comments of past visitors and had some concerns about the lighting around the cabin. When I addressed this with the person answering the phone number for VRBO she had advised me that it was taken care of, however it wasn't. Third attempted to call the property manager for the location and never received a call back from that person.

Overall a nice cabin, good location close to the lake. However the cabin needed some maintenance. AC was not working and was definitely needed as it was a hot weekend. Also refrigerator was slow to work! Porch Banister seemed a little loose and scary to lean on. I would definitely be careful if bringing children. If you don't mind these things then it's a good place to stay! Nice and comfortable cabin just needs update.

First off - This should be listed as "4 bedroom," not 5. The 5th bedroom is a futon with no pillow, in a converted upstairs entryway and lacking any heat. Completely uninhabitable during the winter. If you look at all previous reviews and see the listed discrepancies....none of them have been fixed. Including the missing coffee pot from Oct. 2019 - there still isn't one. About one light per room works and the balcony appears slightly unsafe. We attempted multiple times to contact property manager ahead of time regarding concerns, it took over two weeks for a response. We basically had to stalk them through VRBO. The bones of the house were amazing and it extremely clean when we checked in, just some false advertising for larger groups.

We were a first time booking to BigBear and I had noticed bad reviews around basic maintenance weeks before our stay. I notified the property manager asking them to kindly address maintenance issues prior to our stay. None of it was addressed. It really is a nice property - the management is WOEFULLY lacking however. There were ZERO lightbulbs in the track lighting in the master bedroom closet (rendering it unusable for the week we stayed). There were ZERO lights in the entry way and driveway (big safety issue at night). No lights above the stove (to see what you are cooking), no lights in the oven. Flashing broken lights in the fridge. There was a water leak from the dishwasher creating a puddle in the downstairs master bedroom. There is existing water damage in the downstairs bathroom. (Joe - the dishwasher repair man was great however). Broken chairs on deck, broken table on deck, broken sliding doors to the deck. broken pool cues, broken cabinets, broken thermostats (which also needed to be replaced). Just incredibly surprising that in the age of real time feedback, that the management company doesn't just FIX these basic maintenance issues as it truly is a great property - just in DIRE need of maintenance. And when we went to pick up the keys, there is no single point of contact, the woman delivering the keys was not wearing a mask (in a small enclosed space) with an empty hand sanitizing bottle on the table. Just a shame - as these are all FIXABLE problems. EASY to fix. We would not rent again with 5 star vacation rentals. Didn't even feel comfortable on the phone calling them to ask for the basics and we left the property in better condition than we actually found it.

I like everything but the air conditioner didn't work good, the first floor was too hot and second floor was too cold, and when we tried to adjust the air temperature, the device automatically changed to the previous state.

Not enough blankets and pillows as advertised, dishes need to be replaced, spiderwebs everywhere, dust, balcony need to be repaired, no propein in the bbq, kitchen cabinets are broken, light bulbs are broken and missing, 2 showers not working, chair inside and outside are brocken... Only one good thing in the house is "Stove" and clean sheets and towels. Not recommended Terrible

The house was beautiful as described. It was clean, spacious, beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. They provided more than enough towels, and soap and shampoo. It would’ve been a perfect weekend if not for the nosy neighbor, who was always peeking through his window and stood right outside his house to tell us that “the house is on lockdown and is covid infected!” We understood the covid restrictions and stood by it. We don’t need someone telling us about it. Otherwise, the house was beautiful.

Loved the house! Beautiful, open, log cabin with the space for 16 adults. The lake view is the icing on the cake!! Had all the amenities we were looking for, and an amazing kitchen capable of cooking for our large group. Bring extra towels, blankets and pillows if you have a big group.

This is a great home for two families. We loved the vaulted ceilings, spacious family , kitchen dining room. It has a cozy cabin feel and the beautiful lake view from the large family room windows as well from other locations of the home. The home is truly beautiful . We hope that next time you will have a new set of pots and pans, more kitchen supplies such as platters, baking sheets, Pyrex dishes . The house is beautiful just needs a little updating. Thank you for a wonderful family/ friend vacation in your beautiful home. We hope to visit again soon.
