Moonlark's was awesome - fantastic service, food, etc. Loved it, would have gone back if I stayed longer. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience of staying at the hotel - I would stay at The Hoxton again if I come back to LA and need to station myself downtown.

I like the design elements of the building and rooms. Quite a creative space and interesting blend of people staying here. The bed was comfortable. A nice rain shower. $5 breakfast bags delivered to the room. Having a great breakfast restaurant downstairs. Erewhon just round the corner.
The light switches were temperamental. That was frustrating. The tap on the sink had toothpaste splash on it. The area was close to where I needed to be but it’s not super safe. The pool are looked much larger in the pictures. In reality the area was small and crowded with adults and kids.

Beautiful and clean. Great views if you go to the top of the roof and enjoy the bar.
Parking nearby is awful and almost nonexistent. If you have a car then keep in mind that additional parking, which is valet, is $60. However, totally worth it for the valet.

The room lacked a smart TV — no Netflix, YouTube, or streaming, which feels outdated in 2025.
• The QR ordering system (promoted in-room and poolside) simply did not work. One evening we spent 15 minutes trying to order before cut-off, only for it to fail. Another time, we waited over an hour for food poolside, only to find the order never went through.
• Reception calls went unanswered, and when I finally spoke to staff, I was told dismissively to come down from the 7th floor myself to place an order.
• The Booking.com photos showed sun loungers by the pool — in reality, there were none, only benches and chairs. Very misleading.
• Parking was $60 per night, yet there’s independent parking right next door for $25 — feels like a deliberate attempt to overcharge.
• Food menu was extremely limited and underwhelming for a hotel of this standard.
On top of this, I later found unauthorised charges on my credit card linked to the hotel.
Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor service, misleading advertising, technical failures, and hidden costs left a negative impression of both the hotel and the Hoxton brand. I cannot recommend this property.
