We rented this house last year and although, there were some maintenance issues, we decided to rent it again. This year we had nothing but problems.
We went to pick up the keys at 4pm (per the contract) and they were not ready. Made no attempt to contact us and could not confirm when they keys would be available. At the end, it was after 5pm before we got our keys. When we got to the house there were no towels, none. Not in the kitchen nor in any of the bathrooms. Called the office, but they would not commit to a delivery time. We scrambled and found one store in town that had towels, so we purchased them and spent $145.37. The towels were ultimately delivered almost at 9pm. The person that delivered the towels was aware of the problem and suspect so was the office. Lastly, too much chlorine in the hot tub, it was unusable, and the dishwasher did not work. We believe we are owed the money for the towels.

Dirty base boards, broken front door handle upon arrival, dirty underwear in closet, condom in nightstand, clutter tucked in every drawer, cabinet and closet, ants in kitchen during whole stay, hood light did not work, filter on hood dirty and seal hanging down, first floor shower head did not work, black hard residue in kitchen sink, spa breaker keep tripping, spa cold and not heated upon arrival, broken bed frames, refrigerator leaked water, broken refrigerator draws bins and shelf’s, pool table ran down and dirty , pool stickers broken, only provided one set of miss matched darts, closet floor broken, trash in back yard. Overall disappointed in the cleanliness and lack of attention to the home itself. We chose to enjoy the company of our family, but have no interest in staying at this home or booking through Vrbo in the future if this is what is to be expected.

Overall nice. The dishwasher was gross and it was not very clean, but other than that we loved it. The hot tub was great, the game room kept the kids entertained, and overall we really enjoyed our stay

Great location and house. Could have been cleaner on our arrival. For that reason I'm giving it 4 stars. Property managers were very responsive to our need for snow plow to access the garage.

It was very dirty and alot of items were broken and not working properly. Our main concern was that we couldn't lock the back slider door. Upon arrival we could barely open it but my oldest Son worked on it so we could at least use it. Also the cue stick holder on the wall was hanging off on the right side. The hot tub was green and not clean. We have a hot tub at our 2nd home and ours has never looked like that. We saw that the garage floor was so dirty that we didn't use it because we would track in more dirt into the house. Stove vent was filthy and needed serious cleaning. Dartboard is broken and useless. WiFi non-existent and tv downstairs didn’t work. Sliding Door downstairs was extremely heavy and didn’t lock properly. The property could potentially be the best option for rentals, as far as what is/could be available but it all needs to be looked at and redone. Would stay again but for the only reason of it being a rocks throw away from the slopes on Summit and a solid hot tub.

Great house to stay in big bear!
The house had room for all of us there, the rooms were very spacious and comfy. The game room was great everyone loved it! everything was overall great, really should consider staying in this house you won’t regret it! The only thing was that it said on our paper soap, dish soap would be included but it wasn’t and we ran out of toilet paper as well but with the pandemic going on it’s understandable. other than that everything worked and staying in this house was a great experience!

Only issues were no screen on slider to keep bugs out. 1 dining room chair was broken.

Everyone had fun playing the video game, and it was great being able to bring my two Yorkies with us. There were a few minor issues (inoperable screens, soaked floor from a leak that was fixed the day before, someone else’s dog droppings left in backyard that I had to pick up for fear I would be blamed), but those issues were so minor in comparison to such a wonderful home! The property management place was very responsive to any questions or requests. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Home Spacious Good Location
Very nice home. Big bedrooms, updated fixtures and relaxing spa was a huge plus. Good location right next to the ski slopes. Plenty of parking and nice TVs all over the house. Pool table was a hit. Nice bathrooms. My only gripe was that the backyard is not kept up very well, I expect at this price point for all the details to be top notch. Also, all sliding doors had broken or poor working screen doors so we couldn’t use them or leave the sliders open for air at night without letting in the bugs. The bedrooms upstairs had a stale/dusty smell (common in Big Bear but not acceptable at this price). Also, most of the equipment in the game room had broken or missing pieces/billiards stick/no chalk. It’s those small things that make the difference. Wouldn’t be a deal breaker but I expect if those things are listed, they should be maintained. The arcade console was a big hit with the kids. Can’t beat the classic video games on a real arcade machine. That was a plus. Overall, it’s a nice place. I would stay here again if it had some extra TLC done. Fits a ton of people even though my family was small (only 6 of us with a baby). If you’re here in the winter you can’t beat the location, it’s a 5 minute walk straight to the slopes. Nice front curb appeal and the pictures are accurate. Beds were pretty comfortable.

Very spacious
Overall the stay was great and very spacious for my family of 7. Location was perfect. Kitchen was great. Only complaints I had and called within the first 20 mins was the place was dusty, the floors were dirty, and kitchen and bar counters were not clean. Not noticeable by the eye but because of Covid I personally wiped down the tables , counters, handles, etc. and my cloth was dirty. I assumed because of Covid maybe no one had been there, but when I called they said a family had checked out the day before and someone had went in to clean. Maybe someone went in but they did not clean floors and all counters. It had nothing to do with the house owners or the company they use. I think the cleaner who went in did not do their job correctly. But I would still recommend the home and I would stay again bc it was a great house.

Fully loaded
We had a wonderful stay. 8 adults (& 2 four legged kids) gathering for an annual mountain getaway. This house had everything. The open floor plan allowed for all to be together even while doing different things. The arcade,pool table bar room was a highlight for sure. Jacuzzi was plush! All the rooms were comfortable and clean. Larger kitchen super large group friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Poor communication
We were not given a “check in” procedure email which led to added stress after a 6hr drive from Long Beach. In addition we checked in and proceeded to allow our children to immediately enjoy the hot tub. It was steaming with chlorine gas but thought only because it was covered and needed to breath. Subsequently we received a phone call from management company @6:30pm (2hours after check in) warning us that the spa was just serviced and not to use until 8:30pm. This is GROSS NEGLIGENCE on the part of management subjecting our kids to harmful chemicals.
I will be posting this in all review to protect future customers and their children. Totally unacceptable.

Stones throw to snow summit. Clean, upgraded, with lots of entertainment—pool table, arcade games, and jacuzzi.

We hope to return.
The grandkids loved the arcade games and the adults enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen, as is common, was a gathering place large enough to comfortably move around in. Everyone got good night sleep in the comfortable beds.
A couple little things that need corrections are: the broiler in the oven didn’t work; and in the freezer, the ice would get frozen stuck before falling out into the ice container and therefore halting any further ice production (we had to buy bags of ice).
Otherwise, we hope to make a return visit with the family in the future.
