Dining staff was not friendly. Never looks at the eye. They just turn away their face and answer as if the customers are not there.

Reasonable price. Good location.

Staff were so kind and helpful. This was my favourite thing! :)

Had a great stay during Caribana weekend. The rooms were decent and the hot water was great. The best part of the stay was the breakfast. They hotel provides you with complimentary breakfast for everyday of your stay. There were no Tv’s in the rooms but the beds were decent and clean. The hotel is in the heart of downtown and up the block from the eaton center mall. I would recommend staying at this hotel

I really liked the service all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. One security guard obviously had a chip on their shoulder and was rude (all the others were polite would smile or say hello). Really liked the room, however it smelt like someone had smoked previously in it. The maintenance staff sprayed industrial freshener but within a few hours it smelt the same. Great location and parking was affordable.

Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Very accommodating.

Good place

Great location and friendly staff, but the rooms smelled musty, linens and towels reeked of bleach and calling the facility spartan is an understatement (no tv, fridge, microwave, ironbox, nothing). Would not return.

The breakfast was good.

My rating is based on the condition of the room. Outlets didn’t work, water in the bathroom spit and sputtered, there was a red stain quite big on the curtains that looked like blood. There was hair in the tub and sink and toilet area. Not very clean at all.

This is a bare bones summer hotel in a university residence. It's inexpensive in the heart of downtown Toronto, so if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room then this hotel is suitable.
You'll get the bare necessities: A bed (with a lumpy mattress, perhaps), basic toiletries, and very thin bath towels. There is air conditioning. Breakfast. There are hair dryers. There is even an ancient pants press in the closet. There's a desk and chair. Free wi-fi. Paid parking.
What you won't get: Coat hangers. Iron and ironing board. Peace and quiet because downtown Toronto is very loud. The walls are paper thing so you'll hear your neighbours (bring earplugs!) No TV. No safe.

The hotel is in a good location which is convenient to access to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. The facility is in mid-range condition which is matched to the price. Breakfast is provided. However, the service of the lady collecting breakfast cards is terrible, more specifically, she is discriminated in giving reminder in “dining only, no take out”. Although she convinced that she would say that to everyone. I have observed her and it's not the case. She even didn't say it to myself on the day when I didn't bring backpack and lined up with a group of people who she may assumed she doesn't need to. Her selective reminder basically is just unfair, bias, and DISCRIMINATED, cause especially based on her self assumption on who she selects to remind.

Excellent staff and property well kept up.

Great location. The property is located behind new city hall. Easy access to transport, shopping, restaurants, Chinatown and Eaton centre. Breakfast is a big bonus with a variety of choices. Coin washing machines are available at Level C.

The only thing i didn't like about it was there were no vending machines for soft drinks.

If you’re only looking for a place to rest overnight, great! But it’s a student residence turned hotel hostile. You get what you pay for. No bells and whistles here folks!

Tremendous, services on all fronts

I like the security of using a card key for the elevator. It prevents anyone disrupting your privacy and gave me a sense of security.

Bathroom was so dirty it was kind of unbelievable! Window was so dirty in my room you could barely see out. Breakfast was pretty rough. Would never stay there again.

Staff is nice and helpful, breakfast was enjoyable, location is great. The location is amazing in Toronto for the price. if you want a TV and swimming pool this is not the place for you, but if you want a quiet clean place in Toronto this is a great deal.

Fantastic location in downtown Toronto. Friendly reception staff. A bit short of facilities in the room and mattresses a bit hard but no big deal. Probably best not to have a car. Not just because of the cost of parking, but also the horrible driving conditions in the city (there is a lot of construction going on). It makes driving very slow and drivers very impatient.

The breakfast didnt start until 730 am which was a bit late. The room was a bit dated with no tv, fridge, microwave, or coffee maker, but still comfortable. The security was comforting.

The property is very typical student housing - basic and somewhat worn out. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Poor condition and furniture. No hangers, no fridge. No worthy $200 per night.

The a/c makes the sound of a jet plane and the windows don't open. There is a small triangle-shaped balcony but the door to it is locked. The a/c unit kept me up half the night as it comes on and shuts off noisily, and makes a racket while running. These old a/c units are terrible for the environment as well. In the morning (around 7am) there was little to no hot water for a shower. And a Door-Dash driver cancelled my breakfast order because he wouldn't take the elevator even though I'd indicated I wanted the meal delivered to my door. Can't blame the hotel for that, but I was unaware there was a drama unfolding in the lobby while I was trying to take a (cold) shower.

Rooms were large and clean. This was close to our events. Parking was easy to access and inexpensive. Highly recommend!

Central location to everything in the city. Lots of places to eat nearby. Wish rooms had more comfort. Better black out curtains, comfy mattresses. Basic breakfast but good. For the price i paid, i am satisfied. There is opportunity for improvement. I will come back.

They are a bit difficult if you are booking for someone else, i.e. an organisation booking for a client/guest. But otherwise they are good!

The property offered a great breakfast, but it doesn't open until 07:30. It is a very basic room which is fine, but carpet is quite warn, my bathroom was dirty, and the towels needed to be replaced.

Great cost-effective option, super conveniently located, lots in walking distance.

It was't luxurious but got the job done. The floor may have been softer than the bed. The location was great and the cheapest place around there.

If I knew how bad this hotel was I would not have booked it. The hotel/dorm was built in the 70s and nothing has changed. It is very run down and has all of the original fixtures. Taps in the bathroom were leaking badly and the shower head was cheap, old and did not work very well (water starting and stopping, sputtering). Ventilation in the rooms and throughout the building was very poor. The one electrical outlet in the room was hidden behind large furniture so difficult to charge a device. No bedside tables or lamps. Very poor lighting in the room. The free buffet style breakfast was passible but the kitchen was poorly organized with food lines going in odd directions. All of these things could be excused and overlooked if the place was cheap but it was not. It was over $200.00 per night and really should be no more than $125.00.
