- Comfortable beds with the Scandinavian sleep setup.
-spacious room, with walk in robe, nice and quiet.
- fast lift
- appreciated the laundry room for the use of washer and dryer
- Air conditioning was weak, got quite warm at night
- it had a spacious walk-in robe but then no where to put more than one suitcase. Needed extra luggage racks.
- hair from previous guests in the walk in robe.
- There were no nice touches… like no hair conditioner, there was a bath but no salts or bubble bath. No iron in the room , you had to walk down to the laundry room.
- Breakfast was ok but not worth the money. Lovely setting tho. Coffee was from a machine not barista. Buffet food was good quality but not huge selection.
- they tried to charge for 4 adults at check out for breakfasts instead of 2 A + 2 C.
- location is ok but as tourists we did three day tours whilst there and they all started quite far away nearer the Berlin Cathedral. Ended up getting Ubers and stuck in traffic a few times.
- Overall the Mandala didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. It felt a bit stingy and lacked the luxury factor. I think these things listed above normally wouldn’t be complained about but when you pay top dollar for 5 star you expect a bit more.
