Comfort at very affordable rates

The staff are exceptional, very helpful. Advised and guided on details I had skipped. Gave critical information on where to find stuff I needed. Helped connect to airport drop off at ungodly hour. I am a very picky eater, they ensured I found the right meals. Went out of their way to make my stay comfortable

Repetiría sin duda buen hotel .

Me gustó todo , volví a repetir con ellos .la primera habitación doble con balcón y la segunda habitación individual también con balcón .camas cómodisimas ,desayuno buenísimo .un hotel muy tranquilo y en pleno Old Quarter .

Alojamiento limpio y cómodo. Muy bien ubicado, cerca del centro y a escasos pasos de la calle del tren, incluso en algunas habitaciones se puede ver pasar el tren desde la ventana. Desayuno exquisito, tipo buffet, con gran variedad de fruta. Y sin duda lo mejor su personal, siempre disponible para ayudarte en cualquier momento. Esperamos volver a verles algún día!

Super fijn verblijf

Goed hotel met fijne bedden en ruim balkon. Personeel is echt attent, zorgzaam en denken met je mee. Locatie super, wel in old quarter maar niet in die mega drukke straat waar tot savonds laat muziek is. Aanrader!

The staff makes this 100% worth staying here

The staff is super nice. They can answer any questions you have and book tours for you. We felt very welcome by everyone there. The proximity to the train was not as bad as other reviews mentioned. It didn’t go by that often. I only heard it once when I was trying to fall asleep and once in super early morning during our 5 night stay.

Great value for money!

Perfect location and great value for money. Thao, one of the receptionist also helped us to plan our itinerary in the north of Thailand. All the excursions she booked for us were amazing! Beds were comfortable and air con worked well.

It was quite noisy sometimes, so could hear people leaving at various times of the night.

Staff were great, but the facilities not so much.

Location, helpfulness of staff, AC worked well, nice options for breakfast and very quick service. When we were out late there was always a porter at night to let us in. Staff are able to help arrange a sim card for the duration of our stay and also book transport to our next location. Bed was comfortable

The room we had, had no windows, very strong smell of sewage and dampness, walls were covered in black mould, this would usually be excusable due to the climate of Hanoi, Vietnam as a whole, but there was an extensive amount of black mould. AC circulated this smelly air around. I recommend to pay a bit more for a family room or a city view room to get a window and a larger room.

The hotel is located at the centre so that is plus point and the staff are so friendly but the hotel is outdated

For a budget traveller it's value for money, but if you are willing to pay little bit more then book somewhere else 😉

I would highly recommend Spoon hotel!

I normally don’t write a review, but I just want to take a moment here and thank all the staff from Spoon hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful as they helped us with booking a day trip to Ninh Binh. My husband was sick so we had to reschedule our trip to Ninh Binh. The staff went above and beyond to help us with everything. They helped us with any questions we had. Also, the rooms are clean and comfortable. For breakfast you have different options like baguette, pancakes or noodle soup. Besides that, there is a small delicious buffet with banh cuon, sticky rice and fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend Spoon hotel!

Reasonably priced hotel

Clean big bedroom and friendly staff. Good location to walk to things in the old quarter.

Very good

The service here was above and beyond, staff acted as travel agents and booked tours and transport for us. They even checked-in to make sure we had on-time pickups and drop offs. Truely cannot fault the staff and service. Great location, right next to train street which was fun to watch from our room and on the doorstep to old town. Can even walk easily to the train station. Breakfast was included. Good aircon and a fan.

Not the nicest hotel of the trip but good for the price, everything worked and the location was great.

recommend!

this hotel was pretty spot on and had everything that we needed. great location - round the corner from famous train street. staff are really lovely and attentive, super helpful including booking tours, transport etc. Breakfast is good. Rooms are clean, comfy bed, decent shower, fridge & kettle in rooms.

no window in room so not loads of ventilation for drying out towels etc but not a big problem

The location is PERFECT, centrally located in the city! Everything is literally just a few steps outside from the hotel. Also, best receptionist EVER!! they were super helpful from the beginning (helped with the luggages, last minute tour bookings, and super friendly) all the way to my check-out. Definitely nice people!

Good value for the money. The staff make it exceptional.

the young lady who runs the reception desk speaks English very well and did a phenomenal job in looking after me… booking me cabs, train tickets and information. I would heartily recommend the breakfast option. the selection is excellent. The location is in the old quarter but central to most attractions.

The building is older so one has to have patience with the water pressure. There was plenty of hot water however. The heating/cooling system worked quite well.

Great Place, Great Location

Such helpful staff! Couldn't have done enough for us. Great breakfast, we recommend the pancakes.

Make sure you get a room with a window, ours was a little small and bed against the wall. Our own fault we should have read the description better. Next time we'll be sure to upgrade

sincere staff, top quality service

The staff here are the best, they’d go out of their way to meet all our needs. They booked our tours, arranged airport pickup and drop off, when I told them we wanted to buy some fruit they bought us a lot of fresh fruit the next day and even packed us more for our day trip..they even went to the pharmacy to get my husband motion sickness medicine when they came to know he felt sick during day trip. I have never seen such sincerity during our travels.. highly recommend this place

Super clean, spacious and amazing staff

Super clean, spacious rooms. In a great location in the old quarter, easy walking distance to all the main sites. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and super helpful. So nice to chat to and make you feel very comfortable staying there, they can help with booking any onward travel/transfers for very reasonable rates. The staff definitely make this place! Highly recommend Spoon Hotel

The welcoming and super helpful staff of Spoon Hotel makes a difference. The staff made sure every aspect of my stay was taken care. The employees are very supportive, always smiley and focus on customer's high satisfaction. Thanks to Thao, Moon and Phuc, their support as well as the tours they booked for me I had a great time in Hanoi. The breakfast was good and always taken care. There is 24 hour reception which is very helpful.

The cleanliness needs a little improvement however the staff is there to support any claim you may have.
