Excellent staff who couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay special. The room was beautiful and spacious with an enormous bed which was so comfortable. The rooms were so quiet and the black out curtains were excellent. The staff left us a little card and chocolates as we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary.
The bathroom was also huge. Extremely high spec finishes.
The bar was also great - low level lighting and individually crafted areas made it feel sophisticated and cosy.
Breakfast the next morning was excellent and the staff were so friendly and attentive.

We had no toilet facility on our first night in 406
This was really inconvenient as husband was running the great north run and had to use reception toilets. These were fixed for second night
