I loved the charming family owned property and the staff. The breakfast was splendid!
As an inn I did appreciate the privacy this establishment offered. I slept very well at McGee's inn, the beds were comfy. It's an old house with it's charm, and I thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast in the cozy breakfast room. It was also super tasty - the cheesy ommelettes, the crepes and everything else.
The staff was super helpful, I had a little issue that was fixed in an instant.
It's of course not this establishments fault, but the neighborhood is a little rough around the edges. It didn't feel unsafe, but definitely a little uncomfortable when you're travelling alone as a female.

Dinning area is very comfortable and bright! Lovely for breakfast and coffee! Friendly and kind staff checking in and very helpful.
Loved the access to the balcony and being able to take in the city atmosphere.
Close to grocery store and restaurants to explore.

Loved the property …. I think it would be an asset to have a small coffee maker in each room… challenging carting coffee up to higher levels in the building if carrying two cups.

The B&B is a Victorian house with character, and the owners were kind and responsive. We had a very noisy first night, but they solved the issue and the second night was better.
Breakfast was also a nice, with several freshly prepared options, including Eggs Benedict and pancakes.
While not the property itself, its surroundings are somewhat complicated. There is a homeless shelter on the next block, and during our stay we witnessed several disturbing situations, including people openly smoking crack nearby and others who appeared to be under the influence of fentanyl. One woman was standing in the middle of the road, oblivious to the traffic, while another was partially undressed just down the street.
This is obviously not the owners’ fault, but it is something worth considering when choosing the location. We simply avoided walking near the shelter and took taxis back in the evening. It’s a shame, because the neighborhood itself is attractive, with Victorian homes and a pleasant residential atmosphere, but its proximity to the shelter can make it feel uncomfortable at times.
