Really nice and relaxed home from home.

We came earlier than the check in time, the owner was really relaxed and we could access our room almost straight away. Good size bed, comfortable and a nice shower and a hammock in the room. A nautic theme which was nice.

Perfect accommodation

This was the perfect stay for us for 5 nights. The rooms are large and very clean bathrooms and beautiful decor. Bed so comfortable Breakfast was great. Pedro was so helpful and a very gracious host. Thank you

Ship ahoy with Capitan Max!

The hotel stands out for its maritime decor down to the smallest detail; there was even a hammock in our room (wonderful, I fell asleep in it several times). The hotel owner Max and his brother are very helpful, especially around tips for things to do on the island. In the lobby, water (also as refill for drinking bottles during the day) and coffee is offered at any time.

Excellent hospitality, Excellent value!

Great location, good breakfast, excellent hospitality. Pedro helped plan tours and activities for the whole trip which made my life easy. he offered recommendations for spontaneous decision making and ensured I had a great time. The b&b also provided coffee and fruit for guests at all times - a relief at times! This place is an excellent value for the price.

My room could be loud at night with dogs barking, or in the morning next to a school. would recommend eat plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me.

I stayed here based on other reviews & was very disappointed -worth maybe half the price I paid.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was fine.

Worst breakfast I've ever had at any hotel in Ecuador. Melon tasteless & banana way too ripe to eat. Coffee lame in tiny cups. Cereal all sugar coated. It was just bad. Clerestory window near the ceiling was always screened, so always open, in spite of using AC. Across from a school so lots of yelling in the morning.

- great location close to the restaurants and bars - friendly staff and let us check in early on day of arrival - clean large rooms

- the rooms that open straight onto the dining area can be a little noisy in the morning and at night

Great place to stay in Santa Cruz!

This is an amazing place to stay on isla Santa Cruz. The reception could not have been better, Max, the owner of the hotel, welcomed us so warmly that he made us feel really good (for those who are away from home this is very important). The room is well decorated, very comfortable and everything is super clean. It has a hammock which gives it a lot of grace :) Breakfast is included and it's great! Coffee, tea, cookies, etc. are always available. It is in a good location, on the way to the famous Tortuga Bay beach. Obrigado Capitan Max!

Wonderful place!

Everything was perfect, from the theme of the hotel (you feel like you are in a fancy boat) the facilities, the breakfast (buffet style) the cleanliness, the location, Max and his so accommodating personality and the room. The room was very clean, very comfortable bed, sockets everywhere to charge your devices. I wish I had stayed longer but I will definitely come back. I highly recommend the place.

A home away from home. We've only stayed for one night but absolutely loved it. The warm welcome was wonderful and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Definitely recommend this place!

Great place for a great price!

Big room, nicely located. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying. Hot water in the shower. Coffee available all day long.

If your looking for a great little place to stay, this is it!!!! Max was very helpful, rooms are exceptional and clean, fantastic towels, the little things matter!!!!. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, We enjoyed Maxes very much.

Simple, family owned place with good service

Max and the team are excellent, helped arrange taxis/tours, very helpful and kind. Location is good, just two minutes to the main street. They prepare breakfast for you, even for an early trip departure.

The rooms are close/walls are thin, so can be noisy in the morning.

Great place located centrally. You have to eat fish at the night market a minutes walk from this hotel. Staff were lovely and really helpful, would definitely recommend this place. We stayed in Ecuador for three weeks and this was one of the best places we stayed
