Great location in a vibrant neighbourhood. Stop and smell the flowers, literally.

Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Chelsea, at the flower row and close to Koreatown. Such a unique and colourful vibe, and just walking distance to midtown and downtown. Nice finds in the area: restaurants, cafes and a Trader Joe's. The front office manager granted our request for a higher floor and it had amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Much appreciated.

I had requested for a late checkout, but the housekeeping team went to my room 3x before my checkout time was up. Although they were polite, it was irritating as on the 3 instances, the staff acknowledged they saw my late checkout time, so I don't know why they kept checking in -- one even barged into the room without knocking and checking if someone is inside (iSn't that protocol?).

Pleasant stay and good location however I don’t think I would rush back . I found the rooms basic for the price we paid

Comfortable rooms and great veiw of the empire state . The hotel kindly gave us an upgrade for my birthday which was a nice touch . Staff were pleasant and welcoming .

Smelly bathroom due to poor ventilation which resulted in a damp smell in the room . It was disappointing that there was no access to the roof bar from the hotel . You had to queue outside. There should be easier access for guests .

Great value & impressive views

The hotel is located in a great location. The views are great, the lobby & bar are very stylish. The pillows and bed were very comfortable and we slept well. There is good noise cancellation and we did not hear neither street noise, nor neighbors. They gave us a $30 credit to be used in their bar or for breakfast, which was very nice.

We booked a City View King room and it did not have a side window as in the photos here, which was disappointing. The water from the shower leaked into the toilet floor and we had to wipe it with towels. We could not visit their rooftop bar as during the weekend they have a $80 entrance fee. Wish they let hotel guests go for free, as it is presented as part of the hotel amenities.

Midden in Manhatten, goede locatie, prijzig.

Locatie zeer goed, metro goed bereikbaar. Personeel heel vriendelijk en hulpzaam. Leuk cafétje op gelijkvloers.

Hygiëne kon beter, vloer was niet proper, stof op TV, ... Bedden te klein in lengte voor iemand die groter van 1m80 is. Lang wachten op liften. Rooftop bar is aan vernieuwing toe.

Mid town safe choice

Depending on the purpose of your trip this could be an excellent location. Especially for first time visitors. I prefer Soho area but for my friends who wanted to walk around all the sights this was great. It’s spotless. It’s newly furnished. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are fine. The room is rather compact but well thought out. No waredrobes but plenty other places to put things. There are couple of bars and a coffee shop which are part of the hotel which is very useful and we spent a lot of time in those. We stayed on the 8th floor and we didn’t hear any noise from the club on ten top floor. It is pricey but so are all the other hotels in manhattan.

We were 3 people in a standard double room with 2 double beds and it was not comfortable. The beds are made for 1 person. The room is really small. This isn’t a fault of the hotel I’m just mentioning this in case somebody is considering doing the same.

I loved the view even without booking a room with a view. I loved the shower and bathroom set up and how big the room felt despite it being tiny

The price was a little steep. I was bummed there was no coffee or tea available after noon and not on room service A mocktail on room service would’ve been lovely too (I’m sober)

Fun, convenient and clean.

Great location. Funky vibe. Nice clean design. $30 credit each day to use on dry cleaning and at the cafe. That was excellent and really helpful. Amongst the flower district with all the pretty flowers around you each morning ing you leave the hotel. I loved that.

Room a bit too small to fit my sister and I and our luggage.

Funky fun hotel, great location

Great location, loved the family rooms as we could all stay together. Shame we couldn’t access the rooftop bar from the hotel but the lounge and coffee shop were great. We’d stay again.

No access to rooftop bar from hotel and very pretentious door staff for the bar. Zero storage in the rooms

Großartiger Manhatten Aufenthalt

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer im 31. Stock! Die Zimmer sind nicht besonders groß, aber toll und praktisch eingerichtet, dass es sich größer anfühlt. Auch mit 4 Koffern hatten wir genug Platz.

Unser Zimmer wurde leider ein paar mal bei der Reinigung übersehen. Die Reaktion darauf war aber sehr professionell und entgegenkommend. Drinks durften leider nur in Plastikbechern mit aufs Zimmer genommen werden, nicht im Glas. Das empfanden wir für den Standard des Hotels als absolut unpassend.

I’m disappointed with the room, facility and the staff. The only convenient thing was to be at a central location

The location was central and close to subway

The room was very small and not very clean unfortunately. Even after the cleaning you can see the dust moving around the room. Our room phone was not working and although I’ve personally went down and shared that after 6 days the phone was still not working. Last but not least, the staff was very unfriendly I personally experienced first time in a Marriott hotel and seems like forcing themselves to answer a question/talk

Modern, clean, functional hotel in a great area of NYC

Moxy Chelsea was a very modern, clean and well designed hotel. Our room was a decent size (by NYC standards) and was very functional. The room was also very quiet, we had no issues with noise within the hotel or outside of the hotel.

Unfortunately during second to last night there was a gas leak outside the property which required repair and resulted in the hotels gas being turned off for the rest of our stay, therefore no hot water for showers. The hotel was prompt in communicating the issue and offered for guests to move to another one of their properties, however as we only had one night left we decided to stay and we were delighted to receive compensation at check out which was proactively from the hotel.

Not going to stay again

Location is good.

The most confusing and non-transparent establishment whenever it comes to their services. You get randomly charged for things they can’t explain, and then they say sorry and refund you. It’s just bad experience.

Top Hub für ein paar Tage New York. Gerne wieder.

Top Lage; cooles Design, schöne Bars, Ausblick (Zimmer mit Stadtblick), Café im Hause für Frühstück. Kleines Zimmer praktisch und klug eingerichtet.

Komfort bei dem Preis doch recht schmal.

A Beautiful Hotel Experience

I chanced upon this hotel at the last minute after Airbnb canceled my reservation just 48 hours before my arrival. Surprisingly, I can’t help but feel fortunate that my previous booking fell through because this hotel turned out to be a perfect fit! Traveling with only my 11-year-old daughter and backpacks made the room size ideal for our luggage-free two-night trip. If you have larger suitcases, it might be a bit tight, but apart from that, the room is truly excellent. It features a comfortable bed, large windows (mine had a fantastic view of the Empire State Building), a great shower, and a very effective hair dryer. The hotel’s beauty and sophistication added to the experience. As a bonus, they provided us with a $30 credit to spend at the bars or coffee shop. The location is also excellent; we relied solely on the subway and had no issues navigating the city. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly. I would unquestionably stay there again and wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in NYC sind!

Das Hotel liegt als Ausgangspunkt für so gut wie alle Sehenswürdigkeiten perfekt! Die Rooftop Bar ist wunderbar eingerichtet und bietet einen tollen Blick über Manhatten.

Groovy hotel in a great location, good for short stays

Moxy hotels are always well located and the rooms are always groovy with some thoughtful touches.

Moxy rooms are always compact no matter which city you stay in (eg no room to leave suitcases open). They tend to put grooviness over function in the rooms so sometimes feel a little misjudged in their design decisions, eg putting a huge old style telephone on a tiny nightstand so there's not much room for anything else. The biggest issue with Moxy rooms is the lack of privacy when using the bathroom - your partner can hear everything through the thin glass sliding door

Trendy and great location but rooms are tiny

Location for subway and distance to Times Square and other tourist attractions was great and view from the bedroom excellent. Cleanliness very good. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast bar good too. Easy to leave luggage safely after checking out but before leaving for the airport.

Rooms with 2 double beds was too small for family. Literally nowhere to put things and lived out of suitcases for 5 nights. Although the room was very clean, it just felt an absolute mess because of the tightly cramped space .The rooftop bar Fleur Room, wouldn’t allow our 17 year old daughter to visit to see the view( Not Drink! as we are aware of the 21 year of age drinking rules in the USA). But as a family we would like to have been allowed to see the view which is advertised as part of the Moxy hotel experience! Quite unhappy about it, even as 56 and 58 year old parents we were asked for ID by the man on at the hotels 2nd floor restaurant entrance! Very disappointing.

Would not recommend. Will stay elsewhere elsewhere for the same cost or pay a bit more to be more comfortable.

Great shower.

Room was very tiny. We came back to Our room about 2 pm to get ready to go to a wedding and the room had not been cleaned. I’m sure they are short staffed but it was inconvenient.

Great location, small rooms

The location is excellent; subway stations are nearby, Flatiron and Times Square in walking distance. The rooms re modern, the views of the city are great. There is a breakfast place downstairs, where things can be charged to the room.

The rooms are okay for a couple of nights, but rather small for longer stays. The staff was efficient, but not exactly friendly.
