ABSOLUTELY enjoyed staying at this excellent hotel ….!!!

Stayed here for two months, March and April. Absolutely enjoyed the excellent location and ambience. Hotel is just few minutes' walk to main attractions like the Empire State Building and Flatiron, Macy's at Heralds, museums, countless restaurants and movie complexes, etc. Neighborhood was pleasant and rather peaceful. Room decor was classy and warm with vintage furnishings and ample lighting. Housekeeping / maintenance teams were efficient and kept the rooms clean and well maintained. Front Desk team members were welcoming and extremely helpful. They were always available and sincerely committed to ensuring that the guests enjoyed a truly comfortable stay at this hotel.

Convenient, clean and comfy hotel. Perfect for someone solo on business. Well-situated.2 b

Convenient if you are focussed on business in the area. it is no frillsy but charming. The elevator is an old one that is brass-gated with a wood door in front of it. Good for two people. Like being on set in an old movie. Very clean.

For 100 bucks a night a small fridge in the room was required and a microwave. I will be staying six weeks and food costs are insane in NYC right now. Two block walk to laundry services. $14 for a load done by the laundromat. Didn't bother me but like everything in the city very expensive.

I liked everything: from the front desk kindness and efficiency to the cleaning service. Till now it is the best stay in a hotel for me

It is an old building of NY so it brings the general issues of all kind of old buildings

Absolutely enjoyed staying at this unique and trendy boutique style hotel for two full months (Oct &Nov) during our work related trip to NY !!!!!!! Excellent location and just few minutes’ walk to main attractions like the Empire State Building and FlatIron, Macy’s at Heralds, museums, countless restaurants and movie complexes, etc. Neighborhood was safe and pleasant and rather peaceful with great ambience. Room decor was classy and warm with vintage furnishings and ample lighting. Housekeeping / maintenance teams were efficient and kept the rooms clean and well maintained. Front Desk team members were welcoming and extremely helpful. They were always available and sincerely committed to ensuring that guests enjoyed a truly comfortable stay at this hotel. Definitely will stay here again…..

Great place, clean, location and great management.

The hotel is clean, Gary front office greets you everyday with a smile and always asking if there's anything I/we need. The hotel is clean and maintained throughout the day. You feel safe, comfortable and welcomed returning to your home away from home.

Bed mattresses and pillows are hard and uncomfortable.. I brought my own pillow.

A roof over your head when you move in to the city. Cheaper than most Airbnb options. Does the job!

Central location. Friendly staff. Privacy. Clean Bathroom.

Poor ventilation in the hallway and rooms. Sometimes there is cigarette smoke/food odors coming into the room from some mysterious source.

Blown away by the old school service.

The staff and their service was better than any place I’ve ever stayed. The rooms were very clean and they just generally did a great job.

It lacks some of the modern amenities you’d expect at other hotels.

Good cost benefit

Great location! The staff are attentive and ready to help! The manager is very kind. The building itself is old and elevator kind creepy, however it works pretty well. The decoration inside is old but very clean, and the bathroom has a good hot water bath although not very strong stream. For a business trip, it was a great choice!

Very good

The location was amazing - walk 2 mins and you can see the empire state. In fact we've stayed here before and could see it from our bedroom window (though not this time). Clean, comfy with good toiletries and amenities. Shared bathroom but always clean and usually available. All round, value for money was amazing.

just de location. I had another reservation, but it was canceled at the last time, then I had to change my hotel (I didn’t have several options here)

- there was a machine sound all night long, very annoying (I didn’t know from where) - all stuffs were old, the bedspread had cigarette burns - small place - the heating and the air conditioner couldn’t use, because they were very noisy

Love the location and the clean facilities and vintage decor. Easy check in and check out! Overall great value and consistent service. I've been coming to this hotel for years and I've yet to be disappointed.

I wish the private bathroom had proper hooks for towels.

Very uncomfortable bed. Very. AC too noisy. Dusty room. Thin walls. Old and dirty carpet. Outdated.

Decently priced, clean and quiet place 15 min walk from the train

Rooms were on the smaller side, but that's not an issue when we came to the hotel in the evening and spent the weekend outside. No fridge in the room.

Very clean hotel - no smells, clean bathroom and carpet. Nice soap and shampoo. They have coffee machine in the room but I didn't try that. Very friendly staff! The consierge is great. We left luggage in storage the morning of departure and they have good system for this. Very close to the Metro (line 6) and busses. Lots of cafes and restaurants near.
