Location is very good surrounding with all convenient store and restaurants.

The room very tidy even a toilet is deem small. Room decorating is very old and also air conditioner isn't cool enough. The ventilation is not good enough. it smells bad of the tatami.

Hotel is very clean and our stay is comfortable enough for 6 days.

we like the location because it is accessible to everything.

the toilet is so noisy after you flush and bedroom is so small, staff doesn’t know english well.

Tatami-mat room made for spacious Tokyo hotel for young family to stay together in one room

Tatami-mat rooms enabled our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids to stay in the same room in Tokyo. Close to Shin Okubo train station which is only 1 stop from Shinjuku.

The futon bedding was a little thin and the tatami mats are made of plastic I think rather than the traditional straw so it felt a bit hard and stiff for sleeping.

good location, convenient place

great location, Shin okubo just one station to Shinjuku, circumstances feel like Korean town, food among there so great, supermarket,7-11 and lawson nearby. staff is standby and helpful. this place made our trip getting easily travel.

We sit 1 hour nobody on the reception, when we check that time also nobody's we kept the key at reception went away

Good value.

If you like Japanese style hotels, Hanabi Hotel is an excellent place to stay at. Recommended.

Bed bugs and bites galore

The location was close to food and a JR station and the area we were in was quiet.

The stay itself was comfortable but on the 3rd day my partner started to get itchy as he kept rolling off his tatami mat, it was only on the day of our checkout when we noticed what looked like bug bites and little welt lines as if sprayed by insect acid down his skin or an allergic reaction, I have some to a simliar itches yet I wore long sleeved pyjamas. As he just wore boxers any part of his skin where he toughed the mattress and tatami mat have got now itchy welts, leaving the rest of our japan trip to fix this. We have had to seek medical advice since staying here and although the accomodation itself was nice and comfortable I would be worried about going back there.

Easy location and good value for money

Excellent location making it easy to get to 2 underground stations. Small but practical room (we were 3 I think it is possible to be 5 that would be too much for us as a family, but for friends it would be fine). There is a coin launderette very close which is practical.
