I read multiple reviews before booking this place and understood that the cultural background and expectations matter a lot. Being neutral, I would like to say that the hotel is one of the best hotels to stay in. The staff, the cleanliness and customer service is amazing. If you read all the terms and conditions and book the hotel then you may get more than what you expect. It has that retro look and feel. Two bathrooms in one bedroom accommodation is a big plus. Its closest to all the transportation means (Subway and busses). Central Park, restaurants, time square etc all within walking range and if you don't like to walk then you can say its a couple of stops away by the Bus. They gave me option to upgrade my room on the spot and took the difference from the deposit. They did not make me pay extra.
I can't mention anything in particular.
The deposit is really high but they did adjust the additional cost of the upgrade that I requested in the deposit, so it was all good. They don't have an option to pay deposit in cash. I had to pay USD 500 by my debit card.

We stayed in the Penthouse/Duplex. The room was perfect for our group. It was my mother's 80th birthday. I ordered flowers to be delivered before we arrived. The staff had them in the room for us upon arrival. The location was perfect! We only had to use Lyft 2 times during our stay. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. This was my 4th time to travel to New York, and this hotel was by far the best Hotel I have ever stayed in.
I will not stay anywhere else in New York except this Hotel.

I chose it for its location and the room size. .
The double bathroom was helpful for a family of four.
The pull out sofa bed was firm and big in fact better than the king bed which is too soft.
I made two bookings actually and in between the two booking I was travelling to another location.
The hotel refused to let us store luggages overnight even though I was going to re check in for another ten nights. The other big hotels all allowed overnight storage if you are checking in the near term. Major bummer. They told us to use a bounce storage. It’s a joke for a hotel of this price.
Hotel service was horrible the lounge at the top had only a single bar tender who has to double as cashier as server and maybe even as the cook. We waited very long to get the check and for a drink. When I called him to get his attention he told me off. To top it off the food was really bad and expensive. Cardboard tasting pizza.
The room is aged and does not feel clean. The kitchenette is a joke because there is not even a water kettle to make hot water. The hotel told me to microwave the water or use the coffee machine, imagine making baby milk with coffee flavored water!
The bathrooms shower head was fixed and not handheld. Which makes it a challenge to shower a baby. The water system feels rickety.

Si raggiunge bene da qualsiasi parte ti trovi.
Ha due fermate vicine e anche la fermata di Time Square dove c'è lo snodo principale si trova a 10 minuti a piedi.
Non ci è piaciuta la colazione. In America mi aspetto di trovare le uova strapazzate, il bacon, una macchina del caffè che faccia anche dei cappuccini, non tutte cose confezionate e in plastica, il tavolo non apparecchiato.
Da un hotel a 4 stelle nel centro di Manhattan mi aspetto un servizio diverso.
Il giorno in cui siamo arrivati, il divano letto della nostra Junior Suite non era stato preparato.
Nella descrizione della stanza c'era scritto che c'era tutto l'occorrente per cucinare, ma non era così.. non c'era una piastra... c'era un microonde, ma nemmeno un recipiente in cui poter mettere acqua a bollire o altro, insomma come si cucina. Il maggior prezzo che abbiamo pagato per stare in un hotel di questo tipo, non è stato poi giustificato.
L'hotel ha tutte le carte in regola per migliorare, il potenziale c'è, vanno solo riviste un po' di cose che per un occhio attento saltano subito all'occhio.

Todo excelente: ubicación, comodidad del apartamento, limpieza diaria hecha con mimo (el personal de limpieza incluso nos recogió alguna mañana ropa que habíamos dejado sin ordenar y cada día vaciaba el lavavajillas que dejábamos funcionando), amabilidad de todo el personal.
Intentan atender todas las peticiones (pedimos una habitación con vistas cuando hicimos la reserva, nos contestaron que no podían confirmarlo pero que lo intentarían, cuando llegamos nos dieron en la planta 15 un apartamento en la esquina de la 7ª Av con la 57 st, así que teníamos vistazas a las dos calles.
Los dos baños que teníamos en el apartamento eran completos, yendo una familia de 4 miembros nos ha dado una comodidad que es muy difícil encontrar en otros alojamientos, no digamos ya en Manhattan.
La cocina dispone de microondas, neverita, lavavajillas y cafetera. Cada mañana reponen cápsulas de café y te, teniendo en cuenta los precios de las cafeterías, te hace muy buen apaño para llevar un termo en las excursiones.

The place was bigger than expected (with two full baths, which was simply AMAZING, taking into account that our toddler goes to bed 2-3 hours before us). Excellent location-short walk everywhere. Apparently, thick walls, as we didn’t hear anyone. Could see Central Park from the window

Great room set up for group of 3. We were very comfortable and had a great stay. Hotel is located near excellent subway lines which can take you anywhere.
The elevators are an issue in the morning. Set aside a good 15-minutes as it may take time for an elevator to arrive with enough space.

Enjoyed being so close to the things we wanted to do. Also enjoyed the owner’s lounge.
Could have had a larger lobby and the elevators took a long time. People became stacked up waiting for them around 10:00 to 11:00 am as that’s check out time.

The style throughout the property was brilliant and really represented New York in the best way.
The staff were outstanding and made our trip effortless and as a family we appreciated the fantastic first class service throughout our stay from every member of staff.
The location was perfect. Close to the park, the observation decks and right in the heart of the city for us to explore New York.

La struttura si presenta in ottimo stato, anche se non più giovanissima, con uno staff estremamente disponibile che ha soddisfatto ogni nostra richiesta. La pulizia è impeccabile, con cambio di tutti gli asciugamani quotidiano. Va menzionato che la camera a noi spettante è un po' rumorosa a causa della sua posizione rivolta verso la strada. Di buone dimensioni tuttavia, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente, specialmente considerando la prenotazione durante la settimana del Ponte dell'Immacolata. La posizione è strategica, adiacente a Central Park e ben servita da diverse linee della metropolitana. La colazione è abbondante e il personale si è dimostrato estremamente disponibile.

Friendly staff, good space in the junior suite
Bathroom was not the cleanest, thermostat in the room didn’t work(I set it on 62 and it was 70 in the room), elevator wait times are ~15 to go down so get a lower level room and take the stairs it will say an hour plus over the course of your stay. There is nothing special about this hotel, for the price I will stay somewhere else in Manhattan on my next visit.

Las habitaciones perfectas, limpias, con todo tipo de detalles , los baños súper amplios,todo genial.
Y el personal extraordinario, desde los chicos de recepción , a los camareros del desayuno, los chicos que nos ayudaron con las maletas…Fantásticos , incluso tuvimos un problema con una infección en un dedo de uno de los viajeros y nos facilitaron crema antibiótica,tiritas…un personal de 10!!

Our whole experience was excellent. The room and cleanliness we could not fault. We had a suite for a family of 4 which was excellent value for money with breakfast included. Overall we had a wonderful holiday. Location was perfect for us it was at Central Park.

room was very big ! Staff went out of their way to help me with storing my luggage while I was running the NYC marathon. Very much appreciated. Cannot be in a better location for walking to Central Park and Broadway.

The staff was exceptional. our flight was cancelled at the last minute and they made sure we had another room with the same amenities and they gave us a drink coupon at the lounge - which we needed after all the attempts to find another flight and car rental to drive home instead of being forced to stay another day due to American Airlines canceling our flight.

Very spacious. Clean. Great location. Comfortable. Bathrooms were large. Kitchen available made it easy for meal prep for kids. Beds were cozy and allowed space for all .
Elevators were extremely slow. Luckily could use service elevator when needed. Fridge froze water and food and couldn't get temp adjusted, but not a deal breaker.

location. workout room. cleanliness. large family style room ( bedroom, 2 baths, pool out bed in living room, functioning kitchen). housekeeping services were great.
parts of our room were looking very dated despite overall good visual appeal . ( 1709) carpet pulling away in kitchen and a couple other areas for instance. bed was initially comfortable upon lying down but horrible on the back after waking in the morning.

Location was great for families visiting NYC for the first time. A comfortable 10 min walk to Times Square, Central Park and lots of places
to eat and shop nearby.
After a long flight, one would always hope the room was ready even if you arrived earlier than the check in time. Staff was not rude but not friendly. We were allowed to go upstairs and wait in the lounge which was nice and told theyd text us when room was available. Waiting for hours and no text. Decided to go back to lobby to check and the room was ready. The room which I thought was already an ‘upgrade’ was small for a 3 adults and 2 kids. The bed felt more like a double than a queen. You couldnt control the temperature from your room. There were nights when it was too hot and stuffy inside and it was just uncomfortable. We tried opening the window to let cool air in but of course the noise and pollution was the trade off.
