About this house rental

Located in South Lake Tahoe, this lovely house for $188 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. You will have all the comforts of home in this relaxing and spacious 2400 sf house in the exclusive Tahoe Keys waterfront community. As you enter the split-level home, you are immediately greeted by a spectacular view of the Truckee Meadow and majestic Mount Tallac through the wall-to-wall picture windows. Adjacent to a wildlife preserve, and you will feel as though you are a part of the pristine atmosphere. Enjoy abundant wildlife right outside your windows! Watch the sunset over the mountains from your deck. The upstairs Great Room includes a gas fireplace surrounded by stonework, a comfortable window seat, leather couches and two swivel rocker recliners, which allow one to take full advantage of the views. There is also a 55 inch flat screen HDTV with cable. The completely remodeled Kitchen, features all new stainless steel appliances, and is equipped with everything you need to serve a delicious meal for 12. Just turn around and look out the front windows for an unobstructed view of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. The master bedroom perfectly frames the ski runs and the morning sunrise. It features an en-suite Master Bath, with Mountain views. Working while on vacation? This home is equipped with wifi.* As of May 31, 2021 this home will only be available for 31 day plus rentals. *We can neither guarantee nor troubleshoot this service. We want you to enjoy your stay but please understand your property is located in a residential neighborhood. Please be aware that strict ordinances govern Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. Neighbors are sensitive to noise. Excessive noise or over-occupancy at any time of day could result in guest fine up to $2,000 (as well as any fines assessed against the homeowner). Failure to observe the NO PARTY policy will result in eviction. Absolutely no use of the hot tub after 10 PM per ordinance. The view out the back of this house is the best thing about it. The refrigerator in this house needs to be replaced, it had issues from the first day we arrived. The ice dispenser does not work and is frozen over. Somehow the GFI to the right of the stovetop is connected to the outlet behind the refrigerator. IF the GFI is tripped, the outlet the refrigerator is plugged into will stop working. Within 24 hours of our arrival the refigerator stopped working, no light, no ice making. We were told there we no repacements, we spent $80 on a cooler and ice, not knowing if the refrigerator would work or not. Two maintenance men were send out, one to replace the night, that was not done, he left. He did not investigate as to why the light didn't work. The next one came and vacuumed under the fridge. We solved the GFI problem ourselves. But there is something wrong with the refrigerator and it needs to be replaced. The mini fridge on the lower level does not work either. The upper space is nice, the view is lovely. No air conditioning, but several fans, it is quite hot in the afternoons with the wall of windows. There was one dish towel, thank goodness I brought several along. I don't think we will be back.

The view out the back of this house is the best thing about it. The refrigerator in this house needs to be replaced, it had issues from the first day we arrived. Don't stay here. The photos aren't accurate, and the management company doesn't care when you have an issue. The hot tub isn't included, instead it's the Tahoe Key's community hot tub, which you have to pay $10 per person per use. The fridge was broken. Didn't work at all. The management / customer service line was really unresponsive and it was impossible to get ahold of the manager. When they finally did show up they accused us of putting too much food in, and constantly opening up the door and that it needed more time to cool down - which is neither accurate nor what had happened. We had to change all our meal plans, had warm drinks all weekend and throw out a bunch of food. Instead of calling a technician, or fixing the fridge, the management company said they would deliver dry ice every four hours to the fridge, of course, they didn't. The house didn't have nearly enough supplies for the 10 people we had stay. The management company gave us a small discount. I think it should have been a lot more, seeing as we had no cold drinks, flirted with food poisoning all weekend, stressed out about getting a hold of people and of course them not following through on keeping things cold. We'll look elsewhere next time.
