The location and breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful

The location is very good, about a 5-10 minute walk from the entrance to Heidelberg Castle, or the Old Bridge. There is also a carpark with easy access to the rooms (parking is an extra cost though and not included). Not many hotels in the area have parking.
The reception was hard to find and was closed when we arrived around 3pm. We had to go into the nearby restaurant to find the receptionist. The room was adequate but a little dated, the toilet paper holder was broken when we arrived. Our stay was during summer (middle of August) and the room was very warm at night with no AC. There is a small fan provided however.

Great location.
The complex has an unusual layout. The rooms were small and clinical, with large bathrooms. Beds were uncomfortable. It was hot and loud on a weekday night.
