A lovely old cottage in a very secluded spot with beautiful views over the lake. The room was very comfortable and thoughtfully put together with everything we needed and more. The owners were very friendly and had plenty of helpful advice about places to visit and where to eat. Breakfast was a real treat, with both cooked and continental options available, and plenty of local produce and fresh fruit. In spite of the narrow roads (hard to avoid in the Lakes!), it is only a short drive to Hawkshead or Ambleside, so the cottage is well placed for visiting many different areas. We would happily stay here again.
