Great location. Room was very clean. Bed was the most comfortable Ive had in a hotel. Breakfast buffet was decent value at around £14. Fridge and coffee machine in the room.
Room was small but adequate as `I was on my own. It was a comfort double. Twin rooms that my friends were sharing were a decent size.

Air Con in the rooms at hotter times excellent, helpful and friendly staff and great location
Air Con was superb but very noisy as water sounds from it were always there.

The location is great, within walking distance to everything.
The building itself is decorated nicely inside
There are complimentary nibbly bits (sweets) and cherry vodka
The reception were helpful at providing a map with nearby things to do and organising a massage
The rooms were small - no place for hanging clothes. Made smaller due to a fan.
Breakfast wasn't as great as it appeared from other reviews - often cold and dry
The main issue was the lack of air conditioning, and the lack of transparency around this. It was 34-39 degrees for the duration of our stay. The air con simply didn't work. We were told on arrival it was being fixed. It never was fixed - and when i looked into reviews this is not a 'new problem' as we were told - but rather ongoing since March 2026. At no point were we offered any sort of apology or complimentary something to lessen the blow. We essentially did not sleep (or 1-2 hours) for 3 nights. We had to keep the window open - the window opened onto a loud road with a tram every 3 minutes throughout most of the night (except from the early hours)...even with ear plugs it was impossible. We missed a tour due to exhaustion, and eventually moved hotel.
The primary purpose of booking a hotel (and paying decent money for a hotel) is to supplement and allow for a restful vacation. This was not true in our case and therefore I can't provide a higher score.
