A beautiful well maintained building with generously sized rooms. Beautiful rooftop pool and the nicest sauna I’ve seen in a hotel.
A bit of a maze. Got lost a bit at first. But got used to it quickly.

Stunning architectural renovation …and an excellent vibe.Great staff.
And code to Museum of Photography which I came to see.
The location is not in the best area for quality upmarket restaurants…..choice was mainly Indian, Middle eastern and pizza……I found only one authentic German bar.

This is truly an amazingly quirky hotel, an old prison that has been transformed into a hotel. The hotel is kept clean and tidy by an amazing housekeeping team.
Where to start…
1. Upon arrival we were told all about the amazing restaurant. Unfortunately the reception team failed to tell us it was closed on Sundays and Mondays, we arrived in the Sunday and so this left us having to find and travel to an alternative external restaurant.
2. The rooms are extremely small and people need to be aware that if you are travelling with someone, you need to be intimately close with them. The shower/toilet is only separated by one door which is see through and you can hear everything!
3. To get from reception to your room you have to walk 2-blocks to get there, if you want to move to the different areas of the hotel, you often have to leave the hotel and then re-enter.
4. There is underground carpark but again you have to exit via a flight of stairs, not easy with luggage and at €54 a night, this doesn’t offer great value.
5. Breakfast is your typical continental self service breakfast with no al a cart option available.
