The hotel was super convenient to the Broadway Theatre district. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was big and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

I love The Michelangelo, such a nice hotel and great staff!

Honestly had never stayed here before and usually don't stay in this part of the city . . . Michelangelo was a good price compared to other options around and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is obviously excellent and we found the staff to be super attentive and service oriented. The decor and vibe of the hotel is not modern at all but still very nice. We would stay here again for sure.

I cannot rave enough to how wonderful my stay was at Michelangelo Hotel. We were going through kind of a rough experience in New York and the staff made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. The room was spacious and lovely, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. Really, to me, the highlight of the hotel was the incredible staff. Everyone from the bellhops/greeters and the workers at the reception desk were the most friendly, caring, wonderful people. We even had a moment where we were walking to the elevator and one of the employees coming out of the elevator, saw us and pressed the button for us before leaving. It left such a large impression on us and I will definitely be recommending this hotel to everyone I meet! Thank you so much Michelangelo Hotel!

Amazing hotel, friendly staff, great amenities and fitness room.

Great location and a classic hotel with wonderful service. Quiet. Calm. Restful. Things you don’t get at the big hotels packed with tourists. Hotel shows its age a bit but is great none the less.

Front desk issues on the check in AND check out. I would suggest to everyone to doubles check your charges!

This could be one of my fav hotels I've visited in NYC just for the fact that it is so QUIET. Very hard to find a quiet hotel in the city especially in this neightbor hood and I am a light sleeper. It's well carpeted with heavy drapes (old school vibe) which I love and absorbs the noise. The staff is also very attentive and kind, bed is comfy, really loved my stay.

The entire experience was fabulous and first class from the room to the location. The staff could not have treated us better. Highly recommend staying here. Central to everything and we went everywhere in the city and even caught train for a day exploring as well as bus to Woodbury everything was so convenient. Definitely staying here from now on.

Stay was great again. We had hoped and requested early check in but were disappointed not to get it

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city. Walking distance to Times Square, radio city and the cathedral. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Extremely clean, quiet and comfortable.

Great hotel and a great location. We’ve stayed there every year about the same time for 4 years but this year the staff seemed a bit less friendly. We got checked into a dirty room. It happens but when we told the desk clerk he said let me find you another room. He took a minute and then said let me talk to my manager and left for almost 5 minutes. Very odd. He came back and gave us the same room on a lower floor. It was handicapped room which was fine. Our other interactions with the front desk were professional but just a bit off and cold. Asked if the had a Cabernet at the bar and they said yes and we got the bill it was $32. I told the bartender we will pay it and give you a 20% tip but we didn’t see a cab on the menu so you should have informed us of the price. She then pulled out a second menu that did have the $32 Cabernet listed. But it wasn’t on the menu that we ordered from. The next day the Sauvignon Blanc that we also ordered off of Menu 1 was not available and the bartender had no knowledge of it. Again, odd. That’s all I can say. We will stay again but I felt things were a bit slippery this year.

We splurged on a suite, which ended up being fabulous, better than we imagined. A hotel with class, very clean and well managed.

The hotel is in a great location for seeing a show. The room was large and clean and the bell hops super helpful with bags and hauling cabs.
Downers:
1. No coffee in the room?!? That’s crazy. We had to go downstairs and pay $6.00 a cup with free refills. That’s below a standard we’re accustomed to.
2. We had confusion with check in due to having two rooms arranged by one person but for two couples. It got resolved but Walther at the front desk was less than hospitable during the process. He really turned all four of us all.

Geeat location. Three subway stations within a five minute walk. I had a standard room which was was quiet and spacious, bed and pillows very comfortable. Amo coffee machine in the room but many coffee shops in the immediate vicinity.
Well stocked fridge in the room with snacks.
Clean room and clean bathroom, but decor is somewhat dated.
Very courteous staff.
Would definitely stay again.

The two absolute best things about the Michelangelo are the location which is obvious and Victor at the front desk. He is simply the best. He is so good at his job that alone makes me want to return.

Good value and large rooms for the area, but dated hotel with minimal amenities. Very convenient for theater district and Rockefeller center.

Hotel is comfortable, clean, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay there. Minor downsides are that the fixtures and fittings cross the boundary from "quaint" worn out. Sliding doors that squeak and are difficult to fully close. Windows with layers of heavy curtains that don't seem to close and thin blinds that just about do. Shower that has a trickle of water running at the bottom of the head when in use and tap (faucet as they say in the USA) that has a gentle leak when not. Sockets that mostly don't have USB, lamps with strange switches at the base of the bulb. All minor things, but add up to an air of being a bit worn.

Jad a good time staying at this facility.

Traveled to the city during their busiest time of year Christmas- NYE. And what could’ve been a chaotic experience due to the amount of travelers in the area…that didn’t seem to affect the staff. From the very beginning staff was incredibly kind and helpful. From FD, Housekeeping greeting you every single time. Bellman was super helpful- trying to get taxis for us. Building is old, but they do a great job keeping it clean and presentable.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was superb and the hotel was terrific. The facility could use a sprucing up, but we really enjoyed our time in New York City and the Michaelangelo!

We visited this hotel on New Year Eve to witness the ball drop. We were not disappointed at all. Spacious and clean room; slightly dated, but beyond reasonable for the price x2 nights!!

We absolutely loved our stay!! If we come back we will definitely stay here again. The room was so clean and spacious compared to anything we researched. The staff was amazing. I want to give a shout out to Henry, Walther, and Victor. They go above and beyond to help you. Book this place!!!!

We have stayed here many times and encourage our friends to do the same: great location, spacious rooms, warm hospitality. This time we were impresssed, as always, by the front desk staff and especially by Cesar (the 25-year doorman) and Henry (the bellman who seemed to work at all hours). No hotels in our experience match the genuine hospitality and attentiveness that we received at the Michelangelo. The room was very comfortable and spacious and easy access to Times Square makes this the best location for a theatre-centric trip.

The place was amazing. The room was roomy and the bed was so comfortable. Went there for Christmas perfect location and the staff went beyond being nice and helpful.

Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Very happy with the location. Our room was comfortable and attractive.

Large rooms with tubs in convenient location with walking access to most attractions. Hotel parking was not available & had to use a commercial lot that charged double. Was also not charged the rate booked on Hotels.com, so that was a bummer.

Old school cool vibe, retro fancy. Everything was comfortable and clean and everyone on staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Had a great late night meal in the little in house restaurant and location is great if you want to be in the middle of everything.
