The beautiful White Oak development is set away from the hustle of traffic yet very convenient to local attractions. Earning the name Peninsula Dream, this dream home is located on a peninsula and offers an outstanding southeast view. It has the perfect positioning for early sunrises and full-time enjoyment of the outdoors. The long waterfront creates the ideal scenario for enjoying the lake views. On the main level, you will walk into a bright, airy living room with large windows overlooking the stunning lake views and sofas surrounding a TV. The living room naturally flows into the dining room with a beautifully distressed table for group seating. This well-equipped kitchen will have you feeling right at home while gathering around the breakfast table with your family. Embrace the warm Southwest Virginian sunshine by opening the sliding glass doors right off the kitchen. Head out to the large back deck with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your early morning coffee while enjoying the mountain views. The main level has a primary suite with a TV, a private bathroom with a walk-in closet, and sliding glass doors that open to the lakeside deck. The main level also has a laundry room. Head downstairs to the cozy living room with board games and a poker set for the ultimate family night! For even more family fun, a Ping-Pong table is in the garage. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. The boat lift is not accessible. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Max occupancy is six people over the age of two years old (county and state law). This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Dock details: Limit 2 boat can be docked during stay. Electrical outlets BOAT LIFTS NOT FOR GUEST USE. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors! Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Our family (6) spent Thanksgiving at SML. The house was nice and the views were beautiful! Deer were constantly roaming the yard. The large deck and dock had great seating. Wish we had better temps to enjoy sitting outside more but plenty of windows to enjoy the views indoors too. We spent a lot of time watching football in the living room. Despite being a home for 6, this room didn’t fit us well. Even with squeezing in another chair, we were tight. But if you are visiting in the summer your time will be spent outside! The home had plenty of bedrooms for our family, but kids said the downstairs beds were uncomfortable. The one thing that would keep me from renting this home again is the property management company. Upon arrival the house was cold and we had trouble finding the thermostat. It took two hours and repeated follow-up to get someone to tell us that the thermostat is locked and guests can’t change it. When I said it was too cold and that’s not acceptable, they asked what the temperature was set at. Seriously?!? Eventually I received a call from the local team who quickly explained where it was hiding. It all worked out but was a very frustrating start to our trip. Also, they only provided 2 dishwasher detergent packets for a four night stay. We’ve rented many homes and never had to purchase dishwasher detergent. Please provide enough for your guest’s visit. I know this is long, but I rely heavily on reviews when booking and this is all info I would want to know.

The kitchen was very equipped with everything. We might say the can opener was hard to use. Beautiful view of the lake . The deck was great .

The view was amazing, the dock was a great place to hang out and watch the boats go by. House was STOCKED with cooking utensils that was very helpful and felt like a home - not a rental house.

This home was perfect for our family of four. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The location is perfect, in its own little inlet but close to the main channel of the lake. We also loved the covered boat dock area. We highly recommend this home!

Our son graduated from college in Lynchburg and we wanted to it turn into a family vacation. The house and location was perfect. Very clean, quite, equipped with everything we needed, and the property location on Smith Mountain Lake was breathtaking. Great sunsets, utilized the kayak’s, rented jet ski’s and fished off the deck. Even saw three deer grazing in the yard. What an awesome experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you for one of our best vacations ever!

House was very nice, location was great, dock and water access was very nice, house layout and amenities were just right. Overall a wonderful place to stay, we would definitely stay there again! Lack of cleanliness is not on the owner, spent 2 hours post arrival cleaning it ourselves.

Great location. Convenient to shop for groceries and dine out. Rooms were well layed out and beds were fine. Floor plan was conducive for multi purpose activities and provided privacy for differing age groups and agendas. House provided everything we could expect for a relaxing lake vacation.

This home was perfect for my family vacation. Teens had rooms in the lower level with TV, ping pong table and their own deck. Upstairs was well appointed and comfortable with views of the water. We spent the week kayaking, fishing and floating. Would definitely return.

We wanted a place to relax & enjoy the views & you could sit and watch boats, kayaks, etc. all go past. It might have been a little busier because of labor day but into the week, we still got in floats at the dock. The house was nice and clean, had fans in bedrooms since no ceiling fans but ac was good and cool. Upstairs beds were comfortable, but opinion on downstairs ones was a little on the harder side so we suggest a few foam mattress covers possibly for down stairs, otherwise we stayed mostly on the deck and the covers and seating on deck is awesome. Will definitely consider again.

My family had a wonderful time spending the week at this house. It was super clean, comfy beds, tons of seating. We loved eating dinner on the balcony overlooking the lake. We spent a ton of time floating in the lake while our kids jumped off the dock, and we enjoyed a few trips in the kayaks. This was a great location for a relaxing vacation.

This house was fantastic. Very pleasant and no hassle. The kitchen had everything we needed (sharp knives, measuring cups, spices, decent cookware, etc.) and the mattresses were very comfortable. Ample seating on the large decks and near the water were a big plus to take in the view of the lake. Clear instructions helped us check out easily. Great place and would definitely stay here again.

We were a party of 4 and were delighted with the property' facilities, and views. We had a fun spring break away from the crowds. The property is large enough to accommodate a larger family. The host was proactive and easy to reach. Definitely planning to come back to the Peninsula Dream next year.

Great place, fantastic location!! The Ping Pong room was so epic it stole the attention away from the fishing poles But Fortunately, I had plenty of quiet time on the boat I brought Myself. The cove portion of lake that the residence is on produced A couple good fish for me. We loved it & would definitely rent again. If I HAD to Be picky & find something not favorable , it would only be the process of trash disposal upon departure. We be back later this year.

Wonderful property! Kid friendly! Incredible views, very serene. Really got to unwind and relax. House is short drive to boat rentals, restaurants, wineries! Ideally located.
