Everything about the hotel was exceptional. The location was perfect for a first time visitor to see most of the major sights within easy walking distance. The atmosphere was special with great furnishings and interesting art. The staff were exceptionally helpful in recommending and making reservations. They were also very helpful and caring when I had a medical issue when in Berlin. I would particularly like to mention Otto and Paul.

The interior design is beautiful with artsy vibes. The room I stayed in was spacious and well designed, especially as I upgraded to a higher category.
The staff were unhelpful and not welcoming, and I had to repeatedly ask for basic assistance, including help with my luggage. Breakfast service was slow, I waited over 40 minutes for a latte, the order was incorrect, and I ultimately had to speak to the barista and pick it up myself. For a hotel marketed as five-star, essentials like a toothbrush and slippers were missing unless requested, there was no TV in the room, and the bathroom trash bin was broken.
