The accommodation in a great location, close to a station and a mall and walking distance to many attractions including Alexanderplatz, Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island. The apartments themselves are well thought out and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we also really liked the big windows. The check in process was straight forward and any queries were responded to quickly.
The ladder up to the loft bed isn't the most secure even with the lock on. It was fine for our teen but I wouldn't recommend for younger children.

The residence has an excellent location, within easy reach of everything we needed, and having a café in the same building was a lovely bonus. We arrived earlier on our first day and really appreciated being able to leave our luggage in the luggage room.
The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and pleasant, and there was enough coffee provided for our entire stay. The Wi-Fi did not work during the first few days, but the host was very responsive, genuinely interested in solving the issue, and eventually got it fixed, which we appreciated!
The main downside for us was the ground-floor location of the apartment. We did not realise from the description that “ground floor” literally means street level, with only large glass doors separating the room from the pavement. This came as quite a surprise. There is no comfortable and safe way to ventilate the room naturally, as opening the doors means having the room completely open and directly accessible from the street. Travelling with two children, I did not feel entirely safe with this arrangement.
The street is also quite noisy, with a fire station nearby. As the bed is directly opposite the glass doors, and people passing by occasionally looked inside, we felt we needed to keep the dark curtains closed all of the time. This significantly reduced both privacy and natural light.
I would strongly recommend adding some form of visual screening/privacy solution and, most importantly, finding a way to provide natural ventilation without having to open the room directly onto the street. I also think the street-level setup should be made clearer in the apartment description so that guests know exactly what to expect before booking.
One smaller point: the carpet could use a thorough professional cleaning, as there were several visible brown stains.
Overall, this is a pleasant residence in a fantastic location, with comfortable facilities and a responsive host. Unfortunately, the particular setup of this ground-floor apartment did not work well for us.
