What a bougie little find! Auberge du Vieux-Port was the perfect place to begin our Canadian adventure, and we absolutely loved it.
We arrived late after our flight from London Heathrow, and walking into reception to find a roaring fire and such a warm, friendly welcome was just gorgeous. The staff were genuinely lovely, helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. French Canadian hospitality at its best!
Our river-facing room was beautiful, and the views were quite spectacular. Watching the sun go down over the water in the evening and waking up to the sunrise the following morning was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Just magical.
The room itself was comfortable and full of character, and the hotel’s location in the heart of Old Montreal was fantastic for exploring the city.
Breakfast in the lovely little French bistro downstairs was delicious, with excellent coffee and equally lovely service. Valet parking was seamless too, which made everything wonderfully easy.
The whole hotel has a really charming, intimate, boutique feel, with just the right amount of understated luxury. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t have wished for a better introduction to Montreal.
Nothing significant at all. The room was a little on the small side, but that’s entirely understandable for a boutique hotel in such a central city location. It certainly didn’t detract from our enjoyment.
