About this villa rental
Nestled in Tybee Island, this charming villa for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Beautifully appointed rental perfect for a beach getaway! This property offers a unique feature with a private dock and dockhouse! Truly a must see...There is a private playground for guests only. Beautiful marsh views and only a few blocks away from the beach! Fishing available off the dock. Paddle boarders, kayakers and water sports enthusiasts will enjoy the ability to access the water in a private setting. This Unit boasts a private outside seating area/ uncovered porch with 180 degrees of the marsh! Bright tropical colors and comfortable furnishings will help accompany you into a perfect relaxing vacation mode! The dockhouse and dock itself are private to the property only. If the other units are occupied, the dock and outdoor amenities will be shared with guests. This unit has no stairs. It has 3 full sized bedrooms and 1 full sized bathroom. There is a full size washer and dryer free for use during your stay! Outside BBQ grill perfect for grilling on warm summer nights!! The entire complex can be rented for private parties! Each unit has its separate entryway and exit and locked doors. The history behind the home: Several years ago, my husband and I purchased this home. The previous owners had divided the site into 4 separate spaces complete with separate entries. Our initial thought was to convert the property back to 1 whole space sans the divisions. We however soon found that to do so would involve essentially tearing the structure down and starting over as these renovations would require that we bring the building up to current code. This home is pre- 1970's and because of the nostalgia and charm of the place, we decided to leave it as is for now. Having said this, there are quirks to the property including slower drains, and some nostalgic flooring dating. to the 1970's. We personally. love the. character or the place and hope you will enjoy it as well!

This is our favorite family vacation place. We rent two of the apartments. Everyone has their hang out spots. The kids love the playground and adults love the dock and screen house. A nice 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach.
Many little quirks. But I didn’t pay for the Taj Mahal. I paid for family time.. Love this place.

This house was very cute and in a good area by the beach. I came there on vacation for 3 days with some friends so I wasn’t there much . The toliet and shower was both leaking and the facut was dripping terribly. I could not get in touch with the host at all and the wifi givin did not work so we were left with 0 service.

We immediately check the beds and bedding. There were blood stains on the sheets and blankets. Pretty sure there was smeared blood on the bathroom wall. The shower seemed a bit unsafe. There were bugs that crawled in and out of the hole in the wall behind the toilet-shower. As much as people pay to stay places you can at least make sure everything is clean and or sanitized.

This property had bed bugs and I was not able to find accommodations after. The host wasn’t much help and neither was Expedia or vrbo

Location great, dock good, the apartment unit is a subdivided subdivision of a house, poorly equipped kitchen (for one example of many, the kitchen knife was one bent, stained, cheap steak knife), you get to hear all your neighbors do everything and vice versa, bring your own bedding, don't expect every appliance to work.

The boat house and playground was great. But as far as the units the property is split in 4 and we had the least nice of the units. Small rooms and close together. The “front door” was a slidingdouble glass door with no cover or blinds so every time one of the other tenants walk by they see your whole apartment. There was no sliding door stop so it didn’t feel safe. I slept in the front room because of that. Anyone over 100 pounds could have opened that door. The others were definitely bigger and probably nicer. As far as unit C? Unless you are a frat I wouldn’t recommend. No dishwasher or central air and small dated LOUD air conditioners. Can’t sleep because it’s too loud or too hot….you pick….

Overall, we had a great time.. the house was cute as a button (besides the red shedding sofa) and the property was beautiful. Location was great. Somethings that you should definitely be aware of before renting:
1) Pictures are VERY deceiving! It’s not a house, it’s an apartment style complex
2) There are NO cleaners in the house whatsoever. Though the house itself was very clean when we got there, there were no cleaners available as the weekend went on to clean after ourselves
3) Dock & Waterway is beautiful... BUT tide swing gets crazy low, so if you’re taking a boat, just know you won’t be getting in or out of that creek until high tide
4) The dock house/dock is shared between all of the renters

The photos in the listing must be years old because the couch is so peeled, it leaves little red crumbs all over your body and clothes when you sit there. Though generally the space is adequate size for our 4 adult, 2 kid group, the extremely low water pressure and the shower not draining made it much harder to have multiple people staying there. There seems to be some flooring issue in the bathroom, as the shower seems to be falling through the ground when you step in it. The refrigerator had a constant extreme stench of dead fish, which when opened, would completely immerse the apartment in stench. All of the 4 a/c window units MUST be running constantly in order for the space to be even remotely cool.
They’re VERY loud but necessary. The groundskeeper is very kind and had great advice on the neighborhood and best things to do in the area. Many of the lightbulbs in the bathroom, outside, in lamps, etc just weren’t working. Bring a flashlight if you need to see at night.
The unit is a triplex. You WILL have neighbors above and beside you. The Ceiling must be absolutely paper thin because if someone is tiptoeing upstairs, you’ll be up all night with echos louder than thunder.
The marsh area and dock house are very nice and well kept, however the boat and dock on the marsh are very unsteady and unsafe. There’s absolutely no way the boat is able to be used as anything other than decor.
We wouldn’t stay here again unless some extreme improvements were to be made.

Overall cleanliness of the unit was not all that great and there were absolutely no cleaning supplies in the unit to clean up after ourselves. Unfortunately the property manager was unresponsive and the check-in process was incredibly unclear. I waited outside for an hour until a neighbor helped me out. Later I ended up helping another family that came to stay on the property who were roaming around outside struggling the same way. No soap in the bathroom (just a pile of hotel room body lotions). Confusing/conflicting wifi instructions. Says it sleeps 6 but really only sleeps 5 unless someone sleeps on the couch that's falling apart (not a pull-out, just a regular couch).
However, this average vacation home became the cutest damn thing when we walked down to the dock house. Nestled at the end of a little peninsula between the creek that comes in an out with the tide. Complete with a screened in area for games or hangs, fire pit, swinging bench, and grill - we spent 80% of our entire stay back there and never felt a need to leave! We LOVED it there.

Outdoor area was beautiful but suite 2 could use some work. The couch was fake leather & peeling off everywhere a couch cover would make a great difference. Most of the light bulbs were blown. Other furniture was wicker, need comfortable seating not just for looks. Toilet was tucked in corner between wall and shower as a bigger woman this was horrible. Bathroom was big, the toilet could have been put on other side where towel rack was not a good layout. Rooms were nice. TV & internet were awful only had firestick & a hot spot couldnt get anything to play without using our own hot spots. So basically no tv not even basic cable. Manager is nice but doesnt like to be bothered to answer questions. Has washer and dryer but take super long need updated and parking area was small for 4 units. Overall had a nice vacation but will rent elsewhere if return to Tybee again.
