The location was great, the main foyer was beautiful and staff were available at all hours. It was easy to get into the hotel late at night too which was good.
It wasn’t easy to stop outside of the hotel to drop off luggage but the NCP car park was very close, which was easy to find, and the hotel sorted out the parking charges, with the hotel discount, so we could come and go freely.
I didn’t like that it describes itself as a high end 4 star hotel, but it definitely wasn’t. There was grout missing from bathroom floor, paint touch ups didn’t match in colour in the bathroom and there were hooks missing with empty screw holes on the door.
Also at breakfast the staff although friendly told me if they heated up my pancakes they’d have to do it for everyone so they had to check if I was allowed! Breakfast items were not freshly made, ie pancakes and waffles, they were shop bought and heated up.
The pillows were uncomfortable and the room was cold, the heating kept turning off, or was turned off by staff during room servicing. The heating was also very noisy and kept me awake a lot.
I also didn’t like finding someone’s eyelash extensions on the bedroom floor!
