Lovely hotel in the centre of Citta Alta in Bergamo, a great base to get around Bergamo and the surrounding area.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. We could not fault our stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. A total renovation of an ancient building leads to an extremely comfortable night's stay. Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Right in the center of the old part of Bergamo. Parking garage less than a five minute walk from the hotel. Staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and making dinner reservations.

The hotel location is not difficult to reach if you know the town; however, there are no indications on the road and during the week-end you can get trapped into heavy pedestrian traffic which make you think you are in an area with no traffic allowed. Parking and garage indications are not provided by the hotel with a map, making it difficult to determine the distance from the hotel. The message received two days in advance of staying through Expedia was not helpful and my reply was not made accessible to the hotel staff (I checked with the staff). Once that miraculously you have been able to park your car, it is easy to obtain the resident permit to be exposed in the car; however, if you have found the spot far from the hotel you need to reach it again. The breakfast is uneven with some excellent selections and others less so. The apple pie is in the former group, and in the latter group are the orange juice not freshly squeezed and the avocado/smoked salmon toast, a tartine with the ingredients just one on top of the other. The room is spotless and the shower comfortable but the toilet paper of poor quality...
