Nice stay

Beautiful property, cozy, good price, good location

Room interior needs maintenance, a little outdated, and could be cleaner. (The toilet was not flushed when we first arrived, also found insects in the room)

Could have been better.

The Spa facilities were great and the treatments wonderful. No general access to the sauna and jacuzzi, though, only when you have book as part of a treatment. Rooms were decent. They double sold a room one night so I had to move elsewhere then come back. They were spacious and clean and a had a massive bed. Shower was hot and powerful so great bathroom. There were not enough sun beds for everyone by the pool which didn’t bother me but the other guests thought they were in 1980s Benidorm and put towels down to reserve beds - which they then didn’t use for the most part until later in the day. So, don’t expect classy people to be staying here. They were all smoking cigarettes and getting burnt by the pool all day. If it does rain, or get cloudy, the other guests don’t want to give up their sunbeds so hover and leave them reserved with sodden towels. It really did spoil what is actually a beautiful space. The kind of person that goes to Playa is different to somewhere like Tulum, for instance, so it’s not really the hotel’s fault. The hotel could have, however, removed towels from unused sunbeds as I only wanted to lie on one in the morning after breakfast and before lunch when they were largely still empty but ‘reserved.

Lack of sunbeds and lack of stopping other guests unnecessarily reserve them. Didn’t have unlimited/or general access with a reservation sort of access to the spa facilities.

Sentralt hotell, men mye støy fra nærområde.

Sentralt og behagelig plass rundt bassenget. Helt ok mat til frokost, men treg service.

Første dagen var det ikke tilgjengelig badehåndklær og ikke nok solsenger. Rommet var også vendt mot ett av byens største utesteder (Coco Bongo) som skapte mye bråk på natten - balkongdøren vent mot gaten var ødelagt og låst ved hjelp av en trepinne som holdt døren delvis lukket noe som gjorde at mye lyd fra gaten kom igjennom.

Melhor lugar de Playa del Carnem para relaxar e melhor localização para curtir a cidade

Os funcionários são fantásticos, todos muito prestativos e alegres, a localização é excelente, não poderíamos ter escolhido melhor lugar! O SPA é um show a parte no hotel, maravilhoso, experiência incrível!

O café da manhã poderia ter mais opções para quem não come comida mexicana pela manhã, não tinha o básico, como por exemplo ovos. E o atendimento do restaurante deixou um pouco a desejar.

Very nice and peaceful

Great location, really easy to get by everywhere walking . Yet despite the central location the place is very quiet and peaceful. The pool is wonderful, and the cocktails master makes the best piña colada’s and mojitos we’ve ever tried. Personal is very neat, and helpful . The spa was a nice add, we had 30min hydrotherapy included each day of our stay.

The room was nice but not very modern for the price. Our fridge kept on making a clicking noise at night. Ended up unplugging it.

Very close to 5th avenue

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon, they had decorated it for us:) The breakfast was great, the best I had in Mexico, very rich and delicious. The hotel is the middle of the center, 2 min. walk to 5th avenue but very quite at the same time. The moment you enter the premise, you are in a more relaxing environment with palm trees and pool.

Wonderful hotel and experience

The hotel was great and amazing value for money. The location is perfect. Every member of staff was lovely. The rooms were well equipped. The grounds within the hotel are well looked after. The pool bar does amazing cocktails and the food was great too and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was lovely. The spa and it’s team were wonderful too. If I was travelling back to Playa del Carmen, I wouldn’t hesitate to return

Beautiful pool area, nice bar and snacks available. Relaxing oasis in a busy, touristy area. Large room.

No sound proofing so sleeping next to a busy road in a party town was challenging. Shower room didn't feel very clean. We would not recommend going to Ipanema restaurant for dinner next door, felt very much like a tourist trap.

nice place but bad admin they charged us twice

the place was nice and central close to everything

they charged us twice for the booking it’s been over a week and a half. They’ve still not got our refunds correct and won’t give me a proof of receipt for all the refund they owe. they charged us twice and won’t own up to their mistake and we keep having to go back to them because they keep messing up.

Cool oasis with everything nearby!

It's quite well located, you can reach Quinta Avenida in 2 mins and pretty much anything from there. Regardless of some of the chaos outside (parties, nightlife), the hotel was like an oasis, pretty calm and chill inside. Staff were pretty friendly and eager to help when needed.

Pool has limited number of pool chairs in comparison with the number of guests.

Peaceful hotel in the centre of Playa Del Carmen

Staff everywhere was great. Also the pool was amazing and the spa-area very nice (we also had massage there). I had a birthday when we were staying at the hotel and the staff suprised me by decorating the room it was so nice Thank you!

The breakfast was good but I would’ve liked there to be more options.

fair stay but essentially due to the location

great location, outside are really nice as well

very basic room with poor finitions not reflecting the price. Front desk people were polite even if they have long procedure for everything taking time (even to get a couple of swimming pool towels…) price booked online was different when we arrived…Pool is not heated, spa is extremely hot (over 100F no jets on…) Ok was apparently limited to 1 glass let peson… finally when we checked out we had to pay 310mexican dollars. I had no change on a 500 Mexican dollar bill so they kindly invited me to go to a store in the street and get change because they didn’t have some while they offered to pay cash?!! they loudly insisted until I refused. Does CUSTOMER SERVICE means something to you ? thankfully a valet was diligent and get us some change next door but people from the front desk were simply waiting on us to find a solution for them…

Nice pool area

The pool area was nice but we didn’t have a chance to use it because of a non stop rain Wellness facilities were great too

*they didn’t let us leave our bags after we checked out so we had to take them with us to an excursion *the rooms are outdated and had a dump/wet feeling + smell *one of the staff members is way too helpful and gives a lot of unnecessary information (and somehow never really answers the question)

I had a bad experience.

The only + I can find is that the hotel includes a spa and it is pretty close to the main street.

Got a bed with bed bugs. The room looks like it wasn't been housed for a while. The air conditioner wasn't working, had to call a maintenance guy 3 times. Had to replace a room at 1 am after finding bedbugs. we asked for a change prior to that case, and we've been told that none existed. No compensation was offered, and the refund request was declined. Do not recommend it.

Lovely hotel with great customer service in an ideal location.

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights extending for a fourth night. When I booked I had let them know it was our anniversary and on arrival they had decorated the room which was a lovely touch. Throughout our stay all the staff were very welcoming and friendly and went out of the way to ensure we had a lovely time. The pictures online didn’t do this hotel justice, the pool was lovely and really peaceful, the room was a good size and had a king size bed which was very comfy. Good selection at breakfast, although we hadn’t realised there was an omelette station until day three. The location was great, right in the middle of everything and directly opposite coco bongo, yet not once did we hear any noise whilst in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if we were to come back.

It would be nice if you were able to use the steam room/ indoor spa at any time of the day rather than having to book, but this was just a very minor thing.

Quiet luxurious place for perfect vacation

This place is above my expectations actually. The room was quiet, the courtyard with the pool was amazingly green and luxurious, the bed was comfortable. Also it was 7 minutes walk to the beach and close to main touristic street 5th avenue. Well, this is enough for perfect stay for vacation, but there is more. The staff was friendly and professional. One day I had very special private event and I had issues with my dress. I think at least 4 very supportive and kind persons from the hotel participated to save my day. I want to thank them again. Brilliant place!

One thing could have been improved: add free water in the room for guests

friendly staff; good location

old room that need to be refreshed, toilet seat defective and low flush pressure, bathroom very primitive and fungus around shower; no telephone, bottle of water available in room but to pay for, breakfast hot chocolate to pay extra for, coffee machine available but to pay for coffee, had to tape off door opening of about 2 cm to keep mosquitos out of room, ugly view, fungal smell in income hall, should have a 3 star rather than a 5 star rating

Bad hotel, dirty, not worth the price.

The location

The staff was extremely unpleasant. We were soaked wet from the rain and the room was ready for check in and they didn't let us in, they waited for the the very last moment to let us in. The room was not clean by any standard, the floor was dirty. There were crumbs on the floor which stayed there even after room cleaning. The spa is time limited and does not let you do things freely. The room was designed very badly.

Peaceful and beautiful

The staff were excellent, couldn’t do enough to help. We were given a restaurant recommendation on our last night and had the best time there. The property itself is beautiful. The space is quiet and serene. we had some truly peaceful days here. Would definitely go back.
