A sweet, tucked away property, easily accessible and manageable. The back area was particularly delightful for dinners for 6 people, swarming and intimate. The house itself is very nice to be in - living room furniture comfortable and upright as opposed to slouchy. Beds are con for table. Bathrooms convenient, and particularly nice to have two bathrooms. Kitchen was perfect! Nicest of all was that the owner allowed tenants overstocks to remain - spices, salt and pepper, condiments, paper supplies - it was so very nice to move in to a place with so much that eases the pleasure of cooking, and not to have to buy and end up with overstoack food! Also paper towels, toilet paper, baking papers, plastic bags! We tried to leave our own contributions to the supply for the next tenants (including luscious HaagenDaz ice cream, which we forgot). Surprising was that although Carpenter St. Is somewhat of a major street for Carmel, there was very little street noise. That was wonderful! For small, intimate, charming, convenient, and practical, this house cannot be beat. And I don’t want to tell people about it in the fear that if we can make it back next year, it will be sold out. I stayed at Quaint Carmel-by-the-Sea Cottage with my daughter and 4 grandchildren. We were there anticipating the birth of a grandson to my other daughter and son-in-law who live in Monterey. It was the perfect place for us to create lots of great family memories. The fenced front and back yards allowed the children to play and relax outside without having to be constantly supervised. The adults enjoyed spending time outside as well. The kitchen was spacious and well appointed enough that I was able to prepare several meals with the help of my granddaughters. There was plenty of space for all of us and the beds and furniture were comfy and inviting. All of my questions were answered promptly. We would not hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity arises. I only wish we could rent if for a shorter period of time as most of our travels do not involve staying for a month at a time.

Super cute cottage located within walking distance to downtown Carmel. Very comfortable for our family of four. Has all the amenities for a home away from home. Would definitely stay again. Great communication with Owner.

We spent 6 weeks in Carmel and were very pleased with our rental. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking. The location provides a quick access to the town and highway. The landscaping is very nice and the backyard is very well maintained, large and private. There were no issue during our stay and all appliances worked well. Good WiFi connection as well. We are planning to return to Carmel and rent the same property. Very responsive host.
