Great stay near Chinatown and St Catherine’s

I liked the breakfast, location and atmosphere. Staff was polite and professional and helpful.

Great location, good if you can get a discount and breakfast included

Check was easy, staff were great and straight to the point. Our breakfast was included in the room rate so that was a good bonus and the breakfast was a full one with lots of choice. However I would not have paid 35$ per person for that said breakfast if it were not included in the room rate! Room was clean and bed was comfortable

My room was dark and the view was of a brick wall. The room was outdated and the shower was TINY! I think we were given a discount room that had not been renovated yet and that's why it was less expensive because the hotel itself was very nice.

J'ai bien dormi et l'emplacement était génial mais il y a un mais !!!!

La chambre était superbe, le confort également. Nous avons tous bien dormi. Nous étions centralisé pour tous nos activités.

J'ai réservé la chambre pour 3 personnes et lorsque je suis arrivé pour déjeuner avec ma famille il fallait que je débourse pour mon fils car la réservation pour le petit déjeuner était de 2 :-( . Je trouve déplorable de réserver une chambre pour un nombre et ne pas retrouver celui ci pour le déjeuner :-( Il est selon moi logique que si je réserve une chambre pour un certain nombre que pour le déjeuner celui-ci soit le même. De plus le café était froid, et tout ce qui devait être chaud était tiède au niveau de la nourriture. En plus de ne pas pouvoir déjeuner en famille mon brunch était froid. De plus je réserve une chambre en plein centre ville et je n'arrive pas en bicyclette mais en voiture et je dois payer un surplus pour ce service. Lorsque nous partons en vacances le but n'est pas d'avoir des coûts cachés mais d'avoir un tout inclus. Je payais mon hôtel en plein centre ville pour ne pas me caser la tête avec les nombreux parcomètre et finalement ça n'a pas été le cas.

great value

location was great, located over subway station,, near old Montreal , old port, Montreal downtown, museum.. there valet parking for a fee, convenient to get your car in place while you enjoy hanging out. there a restaurant but i didn't try it, wine place, bar locate in the second floor close to reception. Underground city is next to the hotel as well. mont royal park is like 20 min walk & many more attractions close by.

Disappointing bait and switch at what we assumed would be a nice hotel

The concierge was amazingly helpful- appreciated him very much!

Classic bait and switch - advertised a rate on Booking.com that included BREAKFAST— I specifically chose that rate so we could have breakfast already paid for. HOWEVER - the rate description changed at purchase to NOT including breakfast. The manager of the front desk rudely muttered in French to the polite young woman checking us in —- if it doesn’t say in the computer they don’t pay for breakfast than they did not. — ALSO - our booking.com rate was described as WATER VIEW. Hahaha another bait and switch. No mention of this at check in — just an average crappy view. No apology no kindness — just a brush off.

Very bad treatment for all of us in the reception.

I booked the room to share with two colleagues who arrived from different countries. There was nowhere to give the names of my colleagues and their arrival times. When the first of us arrived the reception refused to give the room to her and instead forced her to book another room. That is not acceptable. The hotel should have a system to register beforehand the names of adults that are coming to the room.

Lovely, well located hotel with wonderful staff helped make our stay in Montreal truly amazing!

Its location - within walking distance to many places of interest e.g. the Notre Dame Basilica, the main downtown street, Rue St. Catherine and even to Chinatown! The hotel itself is well maintained; the room was fairly large, clean and comfortable and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Great quiet location near the old city.

Great breakfast menu and high quality of food. Very friendly and helpful staff around the hotel. Comfy bed, lovely toiletries in the bathroom and lots of big towels. Perfect!

More choice for non - meat eaters in the restaurant. We did enjoy our meals there. Very attentive waiters and nice ambience. No kettle in the room…….just a fiddly contraption which wasn't much good for making two cups of tea at a time!

Our stay in Montreal was memorable and our time at the Intercontinental restful.

We were comped breakfast each day of our reservation since one of the rooms were not available until after 9pm on our first evening. It was an unexpected and a thoughtful gesture from management. Location was terrific. Staff helpful and very pleasant. We had room service one night and our food was delicious, delivered and set up by an excellent staff member. All of us truly enjoyed our meal after having a fun filled day in Montreal.

I will say small inconsistencies - nothing that could not be remedied easily.

Overall great, excellent location, very nice facilities and view

I quite enjoyed my stay. The staff is pleasant, overall they do the best to accommodate you. The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are pretty nice and spacious, my room in particular had a very nice view. It's interesting how the hotel is inserted in this fancy internal area. Very close to all the central area, nice restaurants, river, and if you're here for a conference it's just in front of the convention center.

I would just say the beds are surprisingly uncomfortable. I had one particular displeasing situation: During my stay there was one night where next to me stayed a family with a dog. This dog barked very loudly many times throughout the night (woke me up several times until 2 or 3 am). I understand that this is a tricky situation but I was here on business and basically lost a night of sleep. The very concerning aspect to me was that the hotel had no solutions. I was very displeased with the manager's attitude (basically looking at me with no expression and was actually the desk employee trying to come up with solutions). She told me they can't control the dog. Fair enough you can't, but it's not acceptable that we are paying these rates and things like this are happening. There has to be a balance between being pet friendly and it not disturbing everyone around. To me this should be common sense. I was left wondering what would have happened if those guests had stayed more than one night. Unacceptable that a hotel of this caliber has no solution for this. Would just like to add that despite my strong feelings about this particular situation, everything else was great.
